Tiffany Trump is on spring break in Serbia, she might even stay for the commemoration of NATO bombing of Serbia "Zivla Srbija!"

Aleksandar Vucic says the 20th anniversary of the start of NATO's bombing will be marked with a special religious prayer, moleban, and a military parade.

Just one question: was Kim Jong-un in attendance?
pre 5 godina
The headline says "to mark" not celebrate!!! And there is a huge difference.
(Lilly, 13 March 2019 07:58)
This is just the wording. The procedure this year is insanity.
1) The prayer (same word as in Russian, by the way). That would suggest, Serbia is a country with Orthodoxy being elevated to a semi-governmental state. That is not the case in almost any other country. The most religious Orthodox country is Romania - they are very far from that. Keep the Church away, just to be safe.
2) There shouldn't be any military parade. The bombing resulted in an other partition of the country. The YU military did a good job resisting NATO, but they had to engage as a result of series of diplomatic and ethic blunders. The military was not even allowed to do the job - Milosh was an incompetent coward from the begin on and it did not change.
3) From diplomatic point of view organizing a series of protests every year and showing some backbone to NATO, middle finger included would be much more proper. NATO is even more cowards than Milosh, appeasing them is not the proper way. But that's what these in Belgrade doing.
The entire policy is inconsistent, opportunist and the only difference between the leaders in Belgrade and Pristina is that the ones in Belgrade have a tad more education - but not necessarily any more brains.

I think in a way it will relate to the topic so here goes...
In the duration of NATO's airstrikes against Serbia where I believe America was at the forefront of military intervention against the country the thing is despite that and despite America sheltering 7000 or so Kosovar-Albanian refugees (at least or mainly in Fort Dix,New Jersey,U.S.A.) as far as I'm concerned Serbs who were residing, visiting and/or studying in U.S.A. at the time were not subject to repercussions, ostracizing etc,in fact, because even back then some (but not all) white Americans discriminate racial minorities especially black people and because most Serbs are white I'm not surprised that even back then some white racist Americans would give Serbs in the U.S. better treatment than some non-white especially black Americans and non-Americans so what my point is just because U.S. was at war with Serbia doesn't mean it was at war with Serbs who were in the U.S. at the time.

sj: Like a good Albo always hiding behind mums dress. never stood on your own two feet
We stood on our own two feet when the US was still backing you and calling us terrorists and Switzerland was blocking KLA accounts. Why didn't you win then? Why didn't you eliminate KLA in 1998 if you're such warriors as you claim?
Making and keeping alliances is part of any war. You lost the support of the biggest military power with your massacres against civilians and you lost the war. Now go and parade and thump your chests.
pre 5 godina
And since your army, by your own account, wasn't able to stop NATO, you might as well use them for something, like a parade. But don't get too cocky with your 10 MIGs: Aviano, Bondsteel, Ramstein, Incirlik, NSA Naples, and soon to be Kucova AFB, are never too far away.

More than 19 countries attacked a tiny nation. Never in civilisation has this happened. After this, the same was replicated on other nations like Iraq, Libya, Syria etc. Kosovo today is not any better than 99.
Kosovo war was a project used by NATO to determine its outcome. The victims are the people who were promised a better life but it never happened. Pain, suffering and poverty still continues in Serbia and Kosovo.
The politicians are the only ones that have a comfortable life.

If you look up the names of the Serbian delegation there were surprisingly many Albanians.
https://www.b92.net/eng/news/world.php?yyyy=2019&mm=02&dd=06&nav_id=106150
The list of Albanians representing Serbian side:
Zejnelabedin Kurejshi
Faik Jashari
Sokol Quse
Luan Koka
Qerim Abazi
Other interesting, non-Serbian names:
Refik Sinadinovic
Guljbehar Sabovic
Ibro (Ibrahim?) Vajt (White?)
Definitely Serbs:
Ratko Markovic
Vladan Kutlesic
Nikola Sainovic
Vladimir Stambuk
Vojislav Zivkovic
The Albanians were at least as many within Serbian delegation (5 men) as Serbs.
And I did not count two Bosnians and Ibro Vajt whom I can't even guess but Ibro is "Ibrahim".
Interesting list, isn't it?
Because people think, there were Albanians vs. Serbs. In the reality Serbs were in minority within Serbian delegation.

I can't see how a military parade is necessary for such an occasion.
If commemorating the victims of NATO aggression is going to take place then only the church and people are needed.
Parading arsenal is not in good taste at all.
Second point, how many of foreign media is going to be invited to take the message to their people?
Is anyone going to know the pain suffered back then and the commemoration those victims are given now?
If all effort isn't being made to get this message out to the world then those victims are not being remembered in the best way and their deaths are not given due respect.
I say to Vucic, stop with ingenuine sentiment and get to work educating the world on the injustice and crimes of NATO. Then you are doing what is required for the victims.

Vucic: "Instead what happened was an aggression on a sovereign country, which did not deserve it any way, "
Perhaps in your book killing 100 civilians (Bosniak or Kosovar) for every Serb soldier, might not constitute a grave offense, but for the rest of the civilized world, you deserved every bomb that you got.

Serbia didn't even throw the American Embassy out of the country during or after the bombing. Unbelievable!
Talk and parades are cheap. Put your actions where your mouth is. Otherwise stop with the crocodile tears.
The entire thing was preventable, either before the bombing or after 3 days of bombing. Serbia ended up with the exact same deal it could have had at the beginning. As I remember NATO didn't really know what to bomb anymore after a week since they had already hit all of the obvious targets.

Just one question: was Kim Jong-un in attendance?

And on a related note, can someone tell me how Serbia was able to afford to rebuild all of those bridges and otehr infrastructure so quickly after the bombing? (Thomas, 12 March 2019 19:56)
Just wondering: what buildings and infrastructure have been rebuilt? Okay, I don't have to use the ferry to cross the Danube in Novi Sad these days but how much has actually been rebuilt?

Tiffany Trump is on spring break in Serbia, she might even stay for the commemoration of NATO bombing of Serbia "Zivla Srbija!"
