4+ generation means it has the latest ASEA radars (which can detect stealth), support for laser guided bombs and missiles, advanced navigation and communications equipment, anti-jamming electronics suite, low radar signature paint, rebuilt engines, etc... All done of course to Russian military specs. These should be good for a few more decades now.

Think like Israel which is also surrounded by enemies that would love to see it wiped off the map!!!!

Tactically speaking these aircraft make Serbia dominant in the Balkan region. Serbia will not fight NATO alone but in tandem with Russia so you can have as many airfields as you like in Albo heaven but always remember the closer you are the better chances of being destroyed. Plus, this time if there is trouble Serbia will have the S300 series, which if they had those in 1999 NATO planes would have been falling out of the sky mate. Look at Syria; as soon as the S400 were deployed no more Jewish jet incursion.

The MiGs are not for aggression but security of territory. The only reason Serbia did not ask for the Sukoi fighter is not because of cost but its classified as an offensive weapon and same as the S300 antiaircraft weapons. All nationalist posturing and internet pride aside, what will you realistically do with them? Fight who? You are surrounded by NATO countries on all sides. A NATO Air Base is being built in Kucove, Albania, which will have stationed war craft based there. Aviano is flight minutes away. So again, what will you do with them? No one in their right mind would think that Serbia can be a military threat to anyone around it. You would face the full brunt of NATO again, and you recall how that worked out for you in 1999.

I can't be a Serbian nationalist and only remotely American, Hungarian or Russian. All I can say is the same about Arabs and Albanians: fight the crime.

As long as Arab or Albanian leaders are not criminal bosses - fine with me. One way or the other you are my customer, all I want for you is you having more money, so you buy our products. And you do!

But if you are a criminal you should either go to jail or to be straight eliminated. Applies to (Arab, Albanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Serbian) criminals.

Unfortunately Arab and Albanian criminals are more visible. This is your problem, not mine. Deal with them and I am OK.

The Albanian argument that they are somehow protected from NATO carte blanche. Let me remind you that when Hitler invaded Poland, Czechoslovakia, France, et. al that the French and English had pacts with those countries. England and France betrayed Poland, England than betrayed France! Albania aggressive political discourse may well lead to conflict and they will pay a heavy price. 1945 Chinese Tanks and Dilapidated T-54 are no match for the Serbian Army. Set aside military equipment, Albanian cowardice is no match for Serbian bravery in all of history.

An interesting exception are Macron, Lukashenka and Merkel. They still command some respect. Again (relevant for this topic): Lukashenka.
