On the surface your suggestion sounds reasonable, however, you fail to take into consideration of penalties due Serbia for the death and destruction committed on Albanians and their properties. If you are unaware, over 100,000 homes were destroyed by Serb military, police and paramilitaries. Therefore, Serbia should lose all of Kosova as well as the Presheva Valley since I doubt it is realistic to expect Serbia to honor any legal judgement against her for compensation due Albanians.

I think opening the borders in the Balkans is a good idea. Here is why.

Free Movement in the Balkans would be good for the diaspora especially since so many of us live in the west and go home for the summer and spend alot of money. Alot of Albanians live in South Serbia and a lot of Serbs live in Kosova(North Mitrovica) It would easy a lot of tensions but for this to happend the Kosova - Serbia issues has to be solved first. Where in my opinion the best solution is Autonomy for Serbs in the North and Preshva Bujanoc go into Kosova. I don't see any other option. Serbia has to come to terms that Kosova is gone and Kosova has to come to terms that there is over 100k Serbs living in the North. I think if they both come to acceptance this. It will be better for all of us and the idea of taking down borders will be implemented in a way that is better then what it was in Yugoslavia days.

in 70 years albanian population quadrupled, were as serbian stayed relatively constant until recently were it was cut to 15% of what it was in 20 years. that is a very evident, non-political, but numbers based display of evidence to ethnic cleansing. the other way around cannot be supported by the numbers.

perhaps you are now aware that since these 100,000 homes were destroyed 250,000 serbs were expelled, hundreds of religious buildings destroyed or desecrated.
seems that "payback" has already been dealt.
ethic populations show that since 1991 albanian majority went from 81% to 93%, where as serb minority went from 10% to 1.5%. since 1948 it was 69% albanian majority to 24% serbian minority

Zip, that was the Albo's modus operandi... under Tito, and his underhanded deals with the Albanians, he allowed and financially supported them. That's what allowed them to overbreed the territory of KiM. Their women should be praised for the IRON UTERi since they were popping out 12-15 kids per family. Now their birth rate is the same as the Serbs, but they're moving out in bigger numbers to the West - so, their population is severely declining.

Zip, according to Yugoslav statistics, there were only 190,000 Serbs in Kosova in 1991. There are still about 100,000, so there could not possibly be 250k Serbs expelled.

Serb statistics of Serbs that have left Kosova, also includes Serbs from Krajina, that were sent there by Slobodan Milosevic, but they were not Kosova residents.
