@Dragan: The EU in general is a good thing. Free travelling, freely you can choose the country in which you want to live, no wars between its members, just remember how often the states that are now in EU were at war with eachother before.
Bad is that the EU parliament has less to say than the comission, considering that the parliament is elected in EU elections.
I think it would need one tax system and one social system, but this needs time.
The sanctiona are BS as they are not effective plus they targeted the wrong people. But in general Russia did what Nato did with Kosovo. During a civil war to seperate one part of the country which is mainly populated by a certain group, that is different than the majority. Russia even went a step further and now this is a part of russia.
But never should be mixed uo the citizens with the politicians. As russian civilians are not responsible for that are neither serbian nor albanian civilians responsible for 1999.

An interesting fact: the number of Indonesian tourists in Romania are 347% more, than the cost of Romanian SIM card roaming in Vanuatu multiplied by the number of Nigerian tourists in Iceland.

Imagine that!

Hope, our friend is satisfied now and won't appear for an other year.
(Ataman, 26 December 2018 15:54)

:) Would that equation still be true if the person with a Romanian SIM card was roaming in Afghanistan?

The visa free regime, particularly with Russia, will remain...these EU nazis just can't stand that Serbia has great relations with Russia, is the only European country not to implement the ridiculous sanctions, and are now being pushed by other means. Serbia needs to show the middle finger to these unelected idiots in Brussels, as Serbia is a sovereign country.
I'm very happy that the EU is falling apart, and it won't be around much longer.
Cheers!!

(Dragan, 26 December 2018 15:18)

It won't in that form. I rather expect the visa regime being ridiculed (free e-visas introduced).

This won't endanger Serbia's EU membership only the membership in Schengen which is 2 extra years at minimum from EU.

(See Romania and Bulgaria - neither is in Schengen).

Apropos, Romania. Our friend Doot from Trollhätten of Romania will probably now appear and lecture us about some number-crunching.

Just today saw it on BBC a report showing Iranians trying to reach UK, who by the way came to Europe thanks to no visa requirement from Serbia (BBC mentioned that).
(Avni, 25 December 2018 19:23)

It is the thing of the past. Iranians again do need visas to Serbia.

I will be the last one who would object them visiting Kosova* en masse.

Another example showing Serbia has a long road to joining EU. Just today saw it on BBC a report showing Iranians trying to reach UK, who by the way came to Europe thanks to no visa requirement from Serbia (BBC mentioned that).

"Christian" Serbs helping Muslims invade Europe. They did the same thing few times in the past.

If they cant force Serbia to recognise Kosovo how are they going to implement this one?
(sj, 25 December 2018 09:45)

There is no uniform requirement regarding Kosovo (see Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Spain, Slovakia) - but there is regarding visas.

As far as I know, the uniform visa policy is absolutely required.
But as long as a country is not in Schengen, there can be some variations.

For instance, as long as Serbia is not in Schengen, free e-visa at the airport for Chinese, Russian or Turkish citizens can't be objected.

With Schengen the requirements are far more strict.

Kosovo would be the most bizarre story because even Serbian citizens who live in Kosovo and have non-biometric Serbian passport would not be eligible to enter Serbia visa-free.

I am sure that if not Russia - than this would be a stumbling point: with it's recent moves Kosovo is as far from the visa-free regime with EU as possible.

I have absolutely no idea how Serbia will solve this, except the free e-visa or if there would be a visa-free agreement between EU and Russia + EU and Kosovo.

I doubt there is a scrap of truth to this story, but if there is and they try anything its bye bye EU, but there is not. If they cant force Serbia to recognise Kosovo how are they going to implement this one?

Like most newspapers that wish to sell their products many stretch the truth or create something out of nothing and Vecernje Novosti is no better.
