Firts,not a woord was ever said about the Jasenovac concentration camp held by Croatia the Nazi ally, where hundreds of thousand Jews, Serbs and Roma were killed. The EU never said it was a genocide, but 42 Albanian terrorists was declared a "genocide".In 1995 some 150 thousand of Serbs were ethnically cleansed and expelled from Croatia, that was not a crime. So, how the EU wants Serbia to follow closer it's politics and in return it gives a sort of punishments. Sadomasochism !

Lets be clear on this issue. Croatia and Bulgaria are beggar states i.e. they need EU funds to survive. In Bulgaria's case corruption is bleeding it dry while the myth of Croatia's powerful economy is just that. Without EU funds it would look like Somalia on a bad day.
No one gives a tinkers what they say. Its Berlin that makes that decision. Both are scared that Serbia joining the EU will only reduce their shares of the EU fund pie. That is it in a nutshell.
