Tom, again

I do not believe Russia is madly in love with Serbia nor do I think they are helping Serbia from the goodness of their heart. What I am saying, is that it’s buisness. Both sides are receiving something they perceive they need.

Upgraded MIG-29s and T-72 tanks are nothing to scoff at if you would simply look at the state of Serbia’s military equipment prior 2014.

I won’t comment on the S-300 allegedly supplied to Croatia by Russia in the 90s as I don’t know the full details on that. Although, I will say that the Russian leadership in that time was not what it should have been.

Tom,

You keep regurgitating the same nonsense on different articles. The equipment Serbia is receiving is not “junk” but it seems your knowledge of military equipment, it’s upkeep, maintenance, and upgrades is severely lacking.

Serbia can by no means afford Russia’s top-line military equipment so it buys what it can, with help from Russia. And if you think, even for a second, that Russia needs Serbia’s money...well, then your a bigger fool than I thought.

You seem to not know the Russians that well. If you believe that they are madly in love with the Serbs, perhaps you ought to ask them about S-300 and other equipment they "gave" (for a hefty brotherly fee) to Croatia in the middle of the war with you guys.

Russia would starve if Putin the doorstep seller doesn't go from country to country to blackmail in particular his Slavic brothers into buying his freshly restored merchandise from the old Soviet junk yard.

Russians will strip you naked and suck you dry if needed. They are doing it to their own Russian citizens and why would they treat the Serbs, or anyone else differently!?

And, to paraphrase you, in a civilised way through, if you think, even for a second, that Russia doesn't needs Serbia’s money...well, then you are less gifted than you try to impress.

For Vučić to be seen by any Russian higher ranking official, he must agree to buy some huge piles of obsolete military carcasses from the old Soviet junk yard and pay dearly for that, plus the maintaining expenses.
