I see our little nasty toad, sj, is hallucinating once again. Rest assured Serbia is not important enough, thus will never gain a peice of Albanian Telekom. Furthermore, Serbia is essentially Black Balled from acquiring property in Albanian dominated land.

Merkel Telekom tried again to merge Rama Telekom and Vucic Telekom but both arent compatible yet. Merkel Telekom read the "Procedure Manual" again for its Balcan region and found out that a merge can only happen after 100 years from now as the region is still in the Planet of The Apes times.

"Rama can object as much as he wants but the owner can sell it to Serbia Telecom."

Is it possible that the Serbian herd here is so thick as to not understand that Rama has to approve the deal for it to go through? Where do you people come from? Seriously.

Rama is the head of the Albanian government. That gives/renews licenses to operators in the Telecommunication sector. That is a strategic sector. Deutsche Telecom can sell whatever they want to Serbian Telecom. But the Serbian Telecom won't be able to operate in Albania, unless the Albanian Government (ie Rama) gives them a license to operate. Which would make the sale entirely meaningless.

This is how the modern world works, little Ewoks. Sales, mergers, acquisitions have to be approved by the governments. Now go and tell that to your little friends that are still living under the rock, and don't ask anymore of these stupid questions.

The arrogance!

Serbia telecom would have approached and put its bid direct to the owners not Rama. Protocol would then mean that Rama would be told who the bidders are, but since its a private company the owners can sell it to who ever they want within reason. Rama can object as much as he wants but the owner can sell it to Serbia Telecom.
I doubt that Deutsche Telekom would object provided the asking price is met.

I understand Telekom Serbia had made an offer for Deutsche Telekom what I do not understand why did serbians Telekom made an offer to Rama? When over 97%are owned by Deutsche telekom
Why not directly approach real owners?
