Let me remind you that the Serbian economy was destroyed by the west led by your beloved US. To compare identical professions, you would need to set out the parameters of the task such as do they own or rent accommodation? Are they married with family or single and so forth.
Let’s look at the huge purchasing power by someone living in the US working for $12.50 an hour which equates to $26,000 per annum.

This is information is from your beloved US.

“Oklahoma teachers went on strike on 4 April 2018 to call for better funding and salaries. Teachers in Kentucky and Arizona followed.

The median salary in Oklahoma is $33,000. Teachers are so drastically underpaid they are forced to donate plasma, work multiple jobs and go to food pantries to provide for their families. They live from pay check to pay check.”

Now if the teachers find it near impossible to live on $33,000 per year and need to work other jobs, just what are the chances that someone who earns $26,000 would live the high life in the US?

Food is cheap in Serbia plus medical care is free while in the US good food is not cheap and medical care????? No insurance then they show you the door.

Peggy Positivity,

Have you ever been to a public hospital in Serbia?

Do you know anything more about America than what you read on Sputnik?

Compare typical lifestyle in the States to typical lifestyle in Serbia. No comparison at all. There is a lot of space for decline before the lifestyles are remotely comparable. Case closed.

No, not closed.

There are millions of homeless all over America. The whole city (Detroit) collapsed and you are trying to convince us that life is so much better in the US.
For some yes, for a great number of others no.
Not sure if it's still happening but some schools were offering showers and meals for kids whose parents can't afford it.
You can stop watching the soapies, they are not real life.

People getting left on the street in hospital gowns is a horrible sight. Does that happen in Serbia?

I agree. I couldn't imagine anyone from the EU or the States deliberately targeting civilians. But why did a cluster bomb land in the middle of the day in the open market in Niš near the klinički centar?

Sadly, the same could not be said about combatants in Bosnia and Kosovo.

The NATO intervention occurred precisely because of the history of the type of atrocities committed in Bosnia which could not be allowed to continue to be done. Evidence of criminal involvement from Serbia (sadly) was clearly illustrated by the bringing of bodies to Batanica. I love Serbia - I am often there - but I despise the criminals who used nationalism as an excuse for evil. I despised Milosevic for his primitive and stupid politics.

The total US debt to GDP ratio is 420%. State, Federal and local Government debt now is over $25 trillion. Feds owe 21.6 trillion, state and local government $3.8 trillion.

The $25 trillion debt does not include Federal Agency Debt of $9.26 trillion requiring repayment. If it did, then total US fed, state and local government debt is $34 trillion. This figure also does not include future US Government liabilities of $110 trillion while some eminent economists claim its closer to $200 trillion, plus this does not include $5 trillion in unfunded liabilities belonging to state and local governments.

US household debt largely reflects borrowings because savings have been depleted following the GFC in 2008. Today, about 75% of fulltime workers live from pay-day to pay-day.

Most of the permanent jobs created today are low paid. The permanent jobs you need for the US to return to pre-2008 conditions are $35+ per hour.
Economic growth for the last quarter was 4.1% but its only half that pace after removing defence spending, tax wind fall (Trumps tax cuts) and surge in grain exports intended to pre-empt trade sanctions. In other words, it was only 2.05%.
The trade deficit for August has jumped since the imposition of tariffs because of collapse of exports such as soya to China. The goods deficit with China has also spiked by $2.2 billion in China’s favour; year to date the deficit has jumped by 8.3%.
The US is doing well, real well.

"you had some level of education, and since you were born in the US I doubt that, you would know that all empires towards their end act int the same way as the US is doing."

You are so eager to see America fall that you can't seem to control yourself. Almost every day, year in and year out, you write about this impending crash of the US.

We realize that every kingdom falls. The problem is that you mistake your desires with reality. You skew facts to try to make Americans look bad.

"According to you they targeted my people and I’m supposed to be happy about that, but I’m not."

According to me? Together with other nations, they dropped bombs. That's targeting, duh! It was a very bad decision. But what should common people do about it? The only choice is to forgive, move on, and make the best out of life. The bombing campaign was a nasty thing but I know a lot of beautiful things that came out of it. It is sad if you continue to live in anger because it won't help you and it won't change the people who made the sinful decision to bomb civilian targets.
