What do EU officials say about Macedonia referendum?

EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn have reacted to <a href="https://www.b92.net/eng/news/region.php?yyyy=2018&mm=10&dd=01&nav_id=105176" class="text-link" target= "_blank">a referendum in Macedonia that failed due to low turnout.</a>

It's the silent majority who chose not to vote which count. They said where Greece and the rest of the EU should go. And quite rightly too. Well done Macedonia!

Frederica they gave you the middle finger, both slavs and albs BOYCOTTED your referendum. You sent a whole army to trick them, you mobilized also albania's clowns Meta and Rama but you are naked today. I sincerely think that the fact that albania's clowns were involved and personally invested so much in the farce was the major factor that made many albanians stay home and join slavs in boycott.

The problem is that the west has for so long prattled on about democracy and the right to vote freely and accept the will of the people that they are in a bind. If they refuse to accept the result of this referendum then the very of foundations of western society society will be at risk. Its best to accept what Macedonia has decided and leave it at that whether they like it or not. Remember the US has already gone down that slippery slide and very few now believe anything they say.
