"Croatia not obstacle on Serbia's EU road - it's 2 others"

Although it is thought Serbia that the the main obstacle on its EU path in Croatia, the real "danger" comes from a single rule that the EU will not change.

Serbia's path to the EU is on track. There rail network to the EU would become an economic link for goods manufactured in Serbia.

Norway is an interesting study in political Unions, in that they entered the Kalmar Union, with Denmark and Sweden, bringing in their territorial possessions of Greenland and Iceland.
Upon Norway's leaving the Kalmar Union, Greenland and Iceland were retained by Denmark.
Anything that prevents Serbia from joining the EU and prevents Vucic from obtaining his pot if gold is a good thing for Serbia. Just look to your neighbors- Hungary and Poland, who may be exiting the EU, due to it's sovereignty robbing heavy handedness

The story about Croatia blocking Serbia's entrance to the EU has always been utter BS. The reality is that both Germany and France are concerned about the fiscal position of the EU - Brussels was supposed to stop printing money last December but its presses are running hot and no time line when to stop. There are even stories going around in any financial meltdown such as 2008, the EU will be the first to go.

The real problem is that both these countries are against any further enlargement simply because the EU cannot meet its financial obligation to a new member. They talk about entry dates of 2030 and 2035, but this is more hopeful than anything else. They are hoping the EU's economy recovers sufficiently by that time to restart enlargement.

Personally, I think that Serbia is playing a game of “we love the EU” but is only using the EU for its own benefit to build necessary infrastructure. I doubt that Serbia will ever join the EU. If the Chinese come good with promised investment Serbia will not need the EU

The EU needs to consolidate rather than expand, that seems to be their sentiment. They have great problems among themselves currently and it seems like they will continue to have them in the future.
Times are changing. What was great in 2002, doesn't have to be great in 2018.
I would totally look at the U.K. and Norway as an example where to go in the future. Plus, Serbia always, always, always lost with unions throughout our history. We entered them as winners and exited like losers.
I really hope we wont repeat the same mistake for the nth time.
I don't want YU again in any way, shape, or form. Would much prefer that we look at Norway and learn from their model.

Why is Serbia even trying to join the Germany reich., they only want you in to control you, look at the UK- voted out after every manipulation and scare story to keep us in. It will be interesting to see if democracy rules in the UK, I doubt it, watch and learn Serbia you are better off out.
