Israel's smbassador as been summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the downing of the Russian Il-90 plane in Syria, Sputnik is reporting.

Russia has no business in the Middle East, this also shows that Russian military might is obsolete!!!

Well here a great opportunity for the US to bring Russia to heel and show the Russian their modern weaponry starting with the F35. Or maybe not since its latest problem is that it cant fly in a thunderstorm - yep $600 billion and its scrap metal. I can see the superiority of west technology is frightening the Russian as I write.

As far as I know, IL-20 is a turboprop, not a jet.
Il-20 is the military variant of IL-18.

In military the lifespan of many airplanes from 1950-s (see the B52) is amazingly long.

The incident was quite serious.

The parties want to proceed the most convenient way: forget it.
