Mr Vucic stated earlier this year, when referring to Jasenovac, “We may not agree about what happened 20 years ago but surely we can agree about what happened 70 years ago.” Yet the UK and USA have never acknowledged the mass murders of some 700 000 German civilians in the last few months of World War 2 due to the deliberate bombing of civilian areas in German cities. While the German bombing of London in the early stages of the war may have had a political, industrial and military strategic reason, there was no strategic reason for the killing of so many German civilians in the final stages of the war. It was simply malicious revenge. Today it is ignored in their history books and school texts. The June 2015 UK submission to the UN concerning the Srebrenica massacre was made with their eyes closed to their own history. Croatia is in the same mind set. And 20 years ago I heard from refugees arriving in Australia about massacres of Serbians which were blocked from publication by the western press. Good luck Mr Vucic!

Why anyone would visit Croatia or buy its products amazes me.
Why Croatia is in the E.U. amazes me.
There is a true sickness in that country, while few of its citizens

Croatia and its people have a deep problem with accepting their sordid Nazi past in World War II. They are being allowed to get away with genocide and have rehabilitated their Nazi Ustasha past. When i traveled their, you can find it everywhere - Pavelic Nazi key chains in stores, streets named after war criminals, Ustasha symbols on t-shirts. The Jews now refuse to attend the annual Jasenovac commemoration because some Nazi group put up a statue nearby the camp grounds. Time for the EU to punish this country - they need become like Germany and remember their Serb and Jewish victims and ask for forgiveness for the crimes they committed in Croatia's name. Only then will Croatia really be able to grow and blossom.

More than happy to admit genocide was committed in Srebrenica when that is proven, and not by washed-up group of judicial misfits who are so inept they cannot sit on a bench in their respect countries, but since genocide never occurred, well you can work that one out for yourself.
Every time its suggested that an independent international commission be formed to ascertain what really went on in Srebrenica, all these western countries start screaming no it should not be done. Naturally the latest is the UK because when its proven that genocide did not occur in Srebrenica they will look like prize fools since the US pushed them into trying to pass that UN SC resolution on Srebrenica.

I know enough people from all republics that admire him for the peace and his politics. It is not a serbian thing alone. We never have any problems when we travel to other countries of former yugoslavia.

There needs to be a truth and reconciliation commission for the horrors inflicted upon the Balkan neighbours one upon the other throughout the shameful history of conflicts that gnaw at the cultural values of each. Even if agreement is not reached the statements need to be publicly heard by all parties to hear the stories of the survivors and witnesses be they academic or personal. Most silently know where the truth lies and how lies hide the truth. Too much revisionism and obfuscation have retarded the formation of peaceful, progressive and credible societies. There needs to be an irrevocable statement from each statehood denouncing such historical actions of violence of neighbour against neighbour. There is far more that unites these neighbours than separates them. Enough must be declared to be enough before the cycle of recrimination, retribution and retaliation fuels the fires that consumed so many families, friends, neighbours and besmirch the future while blackening the past.
