.... However, history does show a willingness by Serbs to be ruled by an outsider, look at history - Tito. SO, not probable, but not impossible.... and there was a lesson that was learned from Mr. Broz, and not a good one.

Unfortunately you would have to prove yourselves before you would ever be trusted again.

I've being saying this for years, Serbians want the land but not the people of Kosovo/a. I've asked the question to many of you: Would you be comfortable if your Military General, PM or President was K. Albanian? Many ppl give the diplomatic politically correct answer of yes but in reality Vucic hit a point, the answer is NO! You can't have the land without the people and long term this would cause more trouble for the serbs then they are willing to admit. Glad the president did.

Wishing for peace and respect for the people!

kiko, interesting post, and it made me think. Personally and honestly, if you asked me today, I would say no to any leadership from the Albanians from KiM. It's a trust and hatred thing, and I just believe that there is too much of this for anyone to feel comfortable. If, say, over the next 20 years there is reconciliation and neighborly peace, I could possibly entertain the idea - probably not, but if it was the right person, maybe!!! However, history does show a willingness by Serbs to be ruled by an outsider, look at history - Tito. SO, not probable, but not impossible.... and there was a lesson that was learned from Mr. Broz, and not a good one.

Kiko, the way K-Albanians have been conducting themselves then the answer is definitely NO. Why would any Serb trust them?
In the former Yugoslavia there were people of various ethnic backgrounds in all sorts of positions and not many were uncomfortable.
If K-Albanians could be trusted to put their country Serbia first and all the citizens of that country not just Albanians then I doubt many would be uncomfortable. There would be no reason to be.
The reality is very different so you can't expect anyone not Albanian to be ok with it.
Unfortunately you would have to prove yourselves before you would ever be trusted again.

Hate to break it to you there buddy, but all ethnic groups in the Balkans are related to eachother. Every group irrespective of their language can trace the majority of their heritage and genetic history to the region. If we started dividing territories along ethnic lines, we would end up with hundreds of mini San Marino like micro states scattered across the map. As for Serbia recognising Kosovo’s independence why should they it’s not in their national interests to do so. Finally please be realistic, people in the Balkans don’t apologise for anything. As a fellow Albanian I understand we got the short end of the stick after WW1 as the great powers backed Yugoslavia and Greece and grabbed our territories, but we don’t cry over spilt milk, we move on and build a better future. Who knows maybe in a few decades Albanians will be the next super villains of the region oppressing their neighbours just like the Serbs did in the 20th century, after all this is the Balkans. The only enemy of the region is not one another, it is Turkey and their neo sultan wannabe Erdogan. Thankfully America has almost bankrupted the mad dictator and his terror sponsoring state with the single stroke of a pen.

well there was a multi ethnic, multi cultural, multi confessional state before that could have worked quite well (and actually did so ocasionally) because it had the great advantage that all its citizens spoke the same language.
anyhow what the empire wanted is devide and conquer.
balkanization for the balkans and balkanization for the whole world, that is the name of the game.
create little, weak, failed puppet regimes run by mafia that will never be a challenge or threat to america.

"Every normal person agrees with everything Dodik said". Serbs are not normal and Dodo is a Dodo. Serbs are criminally delusional as ever its a judgement from God. 2Th 2:10
All the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

2Th 2:11
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

2Th 2:12
and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
