The idea is to partition Kosovo, but not to exchange land from Serbia proper. This is ludicrous! What will happen to the Serbs in Novi Pazar as an example, will they have the same fate as the Knin Serbs? What about UNSC Resolution 1244? What about the Constitution? Have Vucic and Dacic gone mad? I believe that the opposition alliance (Jerimic, Tadic, Djilas et al) are all criminals, but if that's what is going to take to stop this madness then so be it. Where is Seselj now that we really need him?

The thing will move forward only if EU accepts it, doesn't matter what Trump or Putin want. The story is simple, Albanians have been supported by the so-called "establishment" in USA, and Trump doesn't belong to it, which is evident for everyone. Not to mention that after midterm elections he will have a hard time and foreign policy will not be in Trump's priority agenda. It's not a good time for these kind of ideas, EU has other things to deal with and leaving Serbia and Albania for some more years in the existing status-quo would be the best approach for them. The survey is done, after some years it will be easier for all sides to digest the idea of partition if there will be no other way.

Europe is just exposed to the fact that it prefers the status quo, but neither Serbs nor Albanians are in the mood for that. These are dynamic players with alliances in Russia and US respectively, therefore their demands are also dynamic. If EU prefers sleep, neither Russia nor the US do, so the EU can’t expect Albania or Serbia to sleep either. They tried to do it the euro way for 10 years, it led to nowhere, now it’s moving again.
