Sj,

Those 380,000 were being taken care of in Croatia even more fled the country.

[link]

I am willing to bet that those 380,000 were the ones celebrating returning home after being expelled by the Serb military forces.
(Mark.W, 6 August 2018 23:08)

I suggest you listen to the conversation that Tudjman had with his senior collaborators about what to do to Serbs. Serbia played that tape much to your Ustahi horror where he said even before the war began he wanted to cleanse Croatia of all Serbs. Response by the Ustahi in Zagreb? playing that conversation will not lead to repairing relation between Croatia and Serbia.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Not a blessed clue. Are you that thick to understand that Tito tried to make a go of Yugoslavia even with draconian laws and failed. At first chance it fell to pieces.

This 70% were fighting for a united communistic yugoslavia, so I would say they were yugoslavs.
I guess it was much more difficult in croatian area to join resistance, considering that this area was much better controlled by fascists. And the once that joined at the end, where for surw not the biggest ndh supporters, but at least at the end they took the weapons for a united yugoslavia.
Beside that this is again this 4 year old thinking but 'our' group was the better one. First none of us today is something better because his grandfather was against fascists. If somebodies grandfather was Hitler himself, it does not make him a bad person nor should have the grandson of Ghandi any credit, because what his grandfather did. Every person defines himself, never mind his background.

What country officially celebrates such an horrendous act?
This was Clinton's and Croatia's idea of "peace". It is a shameful time in history that Serbs must never forget.
Good to know a commemoration was held at St. Mark's.
One should be held in every Serb church, worldwide.

At the start well over 70% of partisans were of Serb origin while the rest did have some Croats, but there were people of other ethnic groups. It was not until it was clear that NDH would fail that large numbers of Croats joined Tito.
Croatia was and is a fascist state that is dying. Give it another 5 years there will be less than 3,500,000 left and once it reaches those numbers there is no return. Its now 3,800,000.

I love Croat revisionism. Where did these 380,000 “refugees” go to? Canada, UK or Australia perhaps? You would have to have several because you can’t be this silly playing with only one.
It was agreed that the JNA would withdraw from Krajina mate. Your Olju should have taken on JNA while it was there but like all good cowards they hide until opportunity arrives and only old men and women are left. Even the US who trained your cowards were embarrassed at what went on.
The Bosniaks adore Croats especially after your lot stabbed them in the back during the war, but you guys love to gloss of that fact LOL. The Bosniaks are ethnically cleansing all Croats out of the Federation and celebrating every day as the numbers go down fast LOL:
But what is incredible your Croats are begging Dodik to help them; amazing that you guys have no spine at all.

Croatia is certainly not the only country that has expelled unwanted minorities after a war. But it is the only country that openly celebrates it and tries to make its citizens feel patriotic and proud about it.

Does the Czech Republic or Poland celebrate the expulsion of Germans?
Does Turkey celebrate the expulsion of Greeks or the genocide of Armenians?
Does Spain celebrate the expulsion of Muslims?

No.

Only Croatia celebrates the expulsion of Serbs with fascist slogans, songs, regalia, and officials.

It isn't sick that Croatia expelled Serbs. What's sick is that Croatia celebrates it and is proud of what it did.

That's what makes Croatia different from nearly every other state in the world.

No surprise there. Israel is basically a Nazi-themed apartheid state that openly commits war crimes against Palestinians. They're right at home in Croatia. Both governments condone and promote institutionalized racism while hiding behind some story of being the historical victim.

Happy Ethnic Cleansing Day, Croatia! Today you celebrate 23 years since you achieved the only military victory you were able to win in more than 1000 years.

Granted that "victory" was shooting at fleeing unarmed civilians and killing a few hundred elderly people too old, sick, or handicapped to leave, but when you've spent 950 of those 1000 years being the vassals of Hungarians or Venetians and were only able to achieve independence by sucking up to the Germans - twice - in the 20th century while engaging in fascist rhetoric, you take whatever victories you can achieve and then spend the rest of time embellishing the story to make it look like you won against insurmountable odds.

No wonder Albanians look up to you. Killing unarmed civilians in an ethnic cleansing campaign without an opposing army is something they can probably achieve themselves. You give them hope their poverty, disorganization, and rampant racism can produce similar results.

Enjoy your neo-Nazi family fun fest, and I sincerely hope Kolinda doesn't make out with Thompson on a Croatian flag in front of Tudjman's ugly gaudy grave :)

PS - The presence of Israeli officials was a great addition this year. Inviting one of the most hated countries in the Middle East that openly commits atrocities against Palestinian civilians including children clearly put two birds of a feather together. Next year invite the head of the KKK. They love this stuff too :)

When Western "civilization" commits a crime, not only it will go unpunished, but , it's not a crime, either.
If tomorrow they start raping small children, they are not rapists and pedophiles, but they will be proud for providing them with sexual education, etc. for which everyone else should be grateful to them.
As for Croats, let them celebrate. With their national anthem that was, by the way written by Josip Runjanin, a Serb.

Meanwhile, nearly 400,000 Croats have left Croatia just for Germany alone, since their allegedly glorious war of independence against Yugoslavia. Large parts of Croatia are almost completely depopulated - the worst being eastern Slavonia, which along with all of Slavonia in general, are full of towns that are deserted. Governments in Zagreb that get all excited every August about celebrating some trumped up victory while tripping over a narrative that tries to push a story that ethnic cleansing was "clean" and "just" converge on Knin to give hyperbolic speeches and dance to Thompson music. Once the festivities are over, Knin goes back to being a neglected, run-down, impoverished town in the middle of nowhere to be ignored for another year.

Croatia's main economic income comes from tourism, which means all money, investment, and attention goes to the Dalmatian coast, where resorts cater to foreign visitors while locals can't even afford rent.

The same is true for pretty much every other place in the former Yugoslavia, but no one else goes to the ridiculous lengths to national patriotism and pride the way Croatia does for three days while two-thirds of the country remains politically ignored and economically neglected.

You're going to suffer economic depreciation when 400,000 Croats and another 200,000 Serbs leave, but hey, "Lijepa naša", am I right?

Not one mention of the 380,000 Croatian refugees who were forced out of their homes in 1991 by the Serbs.

In the end Oluja was the catalyst that stopped the war in Croaty and Bosnia-Herzegovina and should be celebrated as the start of peace.
