Charles Cather,
Why is this new law satanic, it can save lives. What’s wrong with that? Do you know the meaning of the word “satanic”?
(Zarko Z., 30 July 2018 08:47)

I'll say it's ghoulish at best.
You don't snatch people's organs without their permission. Is this what you think is acceptable?
There will be so many people on this register without knowing it and they would have never been asked if they agree to this.
My body is my temple and nobody has the right to violate it even after death unless I agree.
You may not care but many people do.
Yes, we all know what satanic means and God certainly never intended for his creation to be violated so then it's the other guy who's driving this.

There have been instances where people were considered dead and preparations were being made for a transplant only for the poor "donor" to show signs of life in the last minutes. How about this donor having the right for his life to be saved? Any earlier and he would've been a gonner. I know it's rare but if I don't want to take that chance then that should be it.

Bottom line, we are the only ones who can give permission when it comes to our bodies. Not the state, not anyone else.

Zarko the definition of Satanic is everything the serbs did in
Slovenia 🇸🇮
Croatia 🇭🇷
Bosnia 🇧🇦 and
Kosova 🇽🇰

In other words Satanic and Serbia 🇷🇸 is interchangeable.

And now you know ...

You are welcomed...

Not true! I live in the Netherlands and the law didn't pass.

True, It passed in the parliament's 2nd chamber and stranded due to the low interest on the peoples referendum, but it was rejected in the senate (parliament's 1st chamber) who have the last word regarding adoption of laws.

I was going to say how stupid are your politicians but I think a better question is how stupid are the people that keep electing these same politicians year after year?

Talk about a government act a forced collectivism!

Betsy and Peggy you both are finally see Serbia’s government for what it is:
Corrupt ,immoral, organ snatchers that can’t wait for your demise (Greater Serbia) to make a profit.

Makes you proud to a serb I bet lol 😂!

It makes kind of sence. Often their are not enough organs available, so why not to use the once that still can be used.
Interesting that this is only valid for serbian citizens, in other countries it is valid for everybody that dies there. Here is a list for europe that I found:
Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic Cypres, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey

In the Netherlands they also recently adopted a similar law (by a small margin), after a 10 year debate on it. People tried to organize a referendum on it but the threshold was not reached.
It is a sad day when governments because the owner of people's organs. You can still opt out but they put the burden on the people having to go to a notar (as in the case with Serbia) to opt out. And of course, that will be registered. It is an infringement of people's sovereignty and physical integrity, really.

This is an immoral and unethical law.
It is an old sentiment from a communist, Godless society.
It defies not only religious law but the law afforded to the dignity and choice of each individual.

What normal country in this world makes organ harvesting a default for its own citizens? I can only imagine how many people will not be aware of the law and discover down the road their loved ones organs were ripped from their bodies. This is precisely why the government is making it a default as opposed to an option.

I can't believe it, but I actually agree with you for the very first time.
This is bordering on ghoulish and I suspect many people are not even aware of this or don't know how to go about opting out.
I wonder how long the government has been making this public knowledge and how many news outlets were used to spread this bit of news.
Sadly, Serbia is not the only country which will have similar laws.
For now all Australians' medical record are on a national register and we are told we can opt out. This hasn't been publicized well at all and most Australians aren't even aware of it.
Baby steps. Next stew will be organ donor register and that too will be not widely publicized.
Opt out is not a choice we should have to make. Opt in is.

I love how you brought abortion into this, completely unrelated.
Unless "medical procedure" is a good enough common denominator for you.

But since you mentioned it, it is funny to note a contradiction.
On one hand, you want to restrict other people's right of control over their own bodies, which consequentially includes their lives as well.
On the other hand you selfishly cling to your own right over your own (brain dead, at best) body for no particular reason, even if that means that it could make a difference in saving someone's life.

How about that.

They do a similar thing in Kosovaaa** only they do it to Serbs who are still alive and well and sell the organs in the black market! Sick!!

not surprisingly this coming from a country were abortion is considered just as another form of contraception and women in their 8th and 9th month are seen sitting in the bars of belgrade and smoking and drinking while nobody is objecting. but as a matter of fact your heart has still to beat while your organs are being harvested from you, which means that you will be anything but dead during this procedure. if you were really 'dead', meaning your heart has stopped to beat, your organs would be utterly useless because they are...well...dead. to be butchered alive, only your brainwaves will have to be extinguished what would also qualify most serbian MPs as ready to donate.

I tried to read the rest of your argument but it proved diffucult because most of what you wrote is drivel.
