It's insane to think we'll "just recognize Kosovo" - says PM

It would be insane to think that Serbia would not recognize Kosova, keeping in mind that Serbia, recognizes Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Bulgaria, that are much closer to them linguistically, ethnically, culturally and most of them even religiously than Albanians.

Also, it would be insane to not recognize considering the century of cruel treatment of Albanians under the Serb rule. If Serbia wants to show that it has changed, and wants to leave the past behind, the first thing it should do is to recognize Kosova.

It would be insane to not recognize the will of over 90% of Kosova's population that overwhelmingly has wanted and voted on independence from Serbia.

Serbia's continuation of "non-recognition" is based on a genocidal calculation; They're waiting for better conditions when they can invade Kosova and continue the ethnic cleansing of Albanians that was stopped by the IC in the 1999 war. Whether they will manage to do that in the next 500 years is another story: the intention of non-recognition is clear.

Except that frozen conflict doesn't stop Serbia from anything. Serbia goes about her business as usual but "Kosova" can't do anything at all. It has is dependent on the kindness of strangers for it's survival. How long before strangers tire of being kind?
So it's in YOUR interest to negotiate in the end. Serbia can survive without EU. It's doing nicely now, especially when EU most likely will never happen for Serbia and it's own survival is in question.

It's nice to see that Serbia is so progressive, and I'm pretty sure she might be the only PM in Europe that is gay. Unlike the Albanians who live in the Stone Age, Serbia is showing the world that they are accepting of individual freedoms and they are years ahead of any states in the Balkans. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention something here supporting the cause because I have gay friends, namely Azir, Lenard, Rocky, Whoaj, and a few others....
