"The UK lab, only 6 miles from the scene, most likely had stocked this nerve agent and why would Russia cause an incident like this when it is just about to host the world cup and have elections? "
(Zoran, 23 March 2018 10:23)

You just mentioned a potential motive of Russia in your last words? Didn't you notice that?

If your an enemy of U.S then it means they tried to take something from you and you refused.
Serbia stood up to U.S and Venezuela wont give U.S their oil.
All of a sudden they become enemies. Whatever it takes to keep the rats away.
(Smart Serb, 23 March 2018 08:41)

The top destination of Venezuela's oil exports is... the U.S. (with all other countries combined importing less oil from Venezuela than what the US does).

So, you are writing nonsense, dear!

Bob,

This is horrible, this is the logic behind every witch hunt.

Let me continue with the same logic.

Every single Albanian is a drug dealer or prostitute or both.
We do not need any proof, just 'slightly likely' is more than enough. Correct?

There is war on drugs. Hence, every Albanian is our enemy - it is a war after all.

Now we are at war. So kill them all. Not enough - if someone is merely 'slightly likely' to be an Albanian - kill him / her first, investigate later because 'slightly likely' is good enough.

Compared with that logic Milosevic or even Hitler was an angel.

This shows a complete disregard of something East Europe is about to learn: "rule of law".

I guess I might be out on a ledge on this one. However, Skripal was a TRAITOR and knew the consequences of his actions and deceit.
(ChiTown, 23 March 2018 15:46)

There was some family feud between two "spy" families. The elders (Skripalj and his - now former - friend from work) broke up at the time Skripalj was caught.

But their kids were childhood friends and later married.

Than, the son of Skripalj (after moving to UK) started to beat his wife (the daughter of Skripalj's former friend of KGB) badly and drink horribly.

Skripalj's friend asked his daughter to divorce Skripalj's son ASAP.

So she did. While in process, Skripalj's son went with his new g/f to St. Pete for vacation... and died there.

Everyone was thinking about FSB "job" - but it turned out, his liver just gave up because of alcohol.

Now in the mid of all these things we have this case now.

So who was the perpetrator?

Maybe Putin.
Maybe the one who wanted avenge the Skripalj's former friend's daughter.
For sure: heck knows.

For "heck knows" there is no "guilty".

What is 100%: FORMER professional friendship inside of a spy agency (with bitter family feud now), sex, alcohol, beating the wife / gf is a fact beyond doubt.

Any of the above an be a reason.

No one knows. Except maybe our Canadian troll /Avni/Azir/etc.

Bob

pre 6 godina

Russia has behaved like it is guilty. Putin gave a snide grin some time back which rather gave the game away. It was one of his cynical little boasts that he could do that kind of thing.

Mrs May was the minister when the polonium poisoning happened. She is well informed on the Russian attitude. She has to act. Safeguarding the UK and responding to Putin’s political interferences does not require proof - even ‘slightly likely’ is more than enough to justify calling Russia out.

Putin has form. Russia hasn’t behaved like an innocent. It has squealed like a kid caught out.

ChiTown

I guess I might be out on a ledge on this one. However, Skripal was a TRAITOR and knew the consequences of his actions and deceit. I think I'm okay with Putin (alleged at this point) wiping him out. I think the daughter was, as the Americans like to say, Collateral Damage, and was not an intended target - unless she was a spy as well, then okay.

OK Russia has done nothing for Serbs. Now has the US cleaned up the depleted uranium in Southern Kosovo? What have they done to reduce the very high numbers of Albanians dying from leukemia caused by the DU? Just how much has the US invested in Kosovo to alleviate the extremely high level of unemployment? What US companies have opened shop in Kosovo?

This story is BS since they left out others who support Russia such as China, Vietnam, India, Philippines, Mongolia, Indonesia, Iraq and that is only a few, but why let fact get in the way of a good BS story copied strait from a western source LOL.

Serbia is a Russian stooge in the Balkans, especially as it is led by the neoMilosevic/neoSeselj coalition of SNS and SPS.

They pretend to espouse Western values, but were the main instigators of destabilizing neighbouring countries in the nineties.

Now, they found an ally for their wacko policies in Putin.

Too bad, Serbia is getting smaller and poorer..... while it tries to change the world to its own desires.

The truth is, most countries don't care and have not declared their position. That's why the UK has to go around and ask for support, and obviously it has got some very limited backing only because they have allies, not because of evidence. Much like the mafia.

Even the opposition leader, Jeremy Corbyn has cast doubt on the whole situation. He has asked what evidence they have to prove it was Russia and this has drawn a blank. The UK lab, only 6 miles from the scene, most likely had stocked this nerve agent and why would Russia cause an incident like this when it is just about to host the world cup and have elections?

As far as I'm concerned, why wouldn't the UK be a suspect? The Skripals were Russians, not British. The rush to accusing Russia without evidence is all too familiar. Straight away, Bojo the foreign minister mentions the world cup. Personally, I was waiting for some kind of incident to happen as has in the past, just before Russia hosts an international event. It all points back to the UK, they have the motive.

sj

Another sad attempt at nobbling Russia or more to the point Putin.
First it was Alexander Litvinenko, then the sanctions, but these sanctions ended up hurting the west more.
Then the US tried to take away the World Football Cup, then the drug cheating Russian athletes - not disputing that some Russians have cheated but so have the western athletes, such as Lance Armstrong, Marion Jones and 2 of her spouses etc, etc).
Now it’s this attempted assassination. The language used by Teresa May was “this was highly likely to have been done by Russia” not that UK has proof but highly likely, and this came out on the second day of investigation. It’s now obvious that it was staged by the UK in cooperation of the US - this nerve chemical can and has been easily produced by the US as well as UK (a UK government laboratory capable of producing it is only 10 kilometres away from where the attack took place) and it’s interesting that the UK refuses to give Russia a sample; why? The free press did not mention that Skripal’s daughter has always lived in and worked in Russia. But why let details get in the way of a good BS story.
If the Russians wanted to kill Skripal and his family, they could have done it on the day he was arrested, and no one would know. A 13-year sentence only means that very little damage was done by Skripal’s spying, but a reasonable jail term had to be imposed to deter others.

What a sad state of affairs when the only countries in the world that support Moscow in the Skripal case are Serbia and Venezuela. Serbia has shown its tue colors when they are side by side with that shithole called Venezuela. As I’ve said many times before, the world is laughing AT you and NOT WITH you.

Regardless, stupid politicians running your domestic and foreign policy is an internal affair and I won’t stand in the way of Serbia’s self destruction. This story is BS since they left out others who support Russia such as China, Vietnam, India, Philippines, Mongolia, Indonesia, Iraq and that is only a few, but why let fact get in the way of a good BS story copied strait from a western source LOL.

This obsession with moscow on Serbia’s part is going to end up helping Kosova’s case in the end and already has. Keep going Serbia!! So much winning!

Just to remind the esteemed trolling visitors of this comment section: Serbia was alone and isolated in 1804, 1878, 1914, 1941 and 1999, too.

The isolation, alas, didn't last long. We endured and survived our "isolators". This, too, shall pass.

Its now obvious that it was staged by the UK in cooperation of the US - this nerve chemical can and has been easily produced by the US as well as UK (a UK government laboratory capable of producing it is only 10 kilometres away from where the attack took place) and it’s interesting that the UK refuses to give Russia a sample; why? The free press did not mention that Skripal’s daughter has always lived in and worked in Russia. But why let details get in the way of a good BS story.
If the Russians wanted to kill Skripal and his family, they could have done it on the day he was arrested, and no one would know. A 13-year sentence only means that very little damage was done by Skripal’s spying, but a reasonable jail term had to be imposed to deter others.

(Bob, 23 March 2018 15:01)
