Who invites them? I don't think Kosovars would like that since Romania still don't recognize the independent Republic of Kosovo. It's better for Roma gypsies not to interfere and mind their business. Kosovars don't need them.

First of all, Romania should understand first hand as a country once ruled by the brutal dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu, they should understand very well what happened to Kosova under Slobodan Milosevich, secondly, as a now supposed democratic nation it needs to first respect the will of the 2 million inhabitants Of The Republic Of Kosova before it can give a valid opinion!!!
Maybe resurrecting Nicolae Ceaușescu and installing him back to power as Romanias leader would open the eyes of many Romanians politicians currently in power!!!

I cannot see Adrian's answer, so please allow me to reply to your question, as I am a Romanian, too.
The answer is no, many Romanians have no problem with having as president of the country a German (Saxon). By the way, in case you are wondering, he is not Christian Orthodox, but Protestant (Lutheran). I was one of the ethnic Romanians (and of Orthodox faith) who voted for him (me and another 6,288,769 Romanian citizens). Nota bene, Klaus Johannis got more than one million votes above the number received by his opponent.
Balkan region will be better when its inhabitants will decide to evaluate people based on their contribution to the society, as human beings and citizens, and not by labels like ethnicity or religion. So, yes, many Romanians voted for the German guy, seeing him rather as being a serious person, a high-school professor of physics and Mayor of one of the top 10 cities of Romania (Sibiu).
IMO, most of my fellow Romanians (part of Balkan people by history and culture, albeit not by geography) have no problem with a German president, a Magyar as minister of Culture, Health or Environment (it happened already), or a Turkish, Muslim woman as prime-minister (it was proposed, she lost the nomination due to suspicions of political corruption). Maybe our example could help others, in due time, to overcome some prejudices acquired during centuries of turbulent history.

Did you know the noble Ghica ( Albanian: Gjika) family of Romania, 17th-19th century, were of Albanian origin. Grigore Ghica was the first Prince of Wallachia (1659-1660 and 1673-1678). There is a Ghica Palace in Colentina, Bucharest.

Of course, there are many who think that germans, muslims and hungarians have no place in the Romanian goverment. And that feeling is growing, especially after we lost everything after accesion into the EU.

Anyway, don't worry: Romanians still have a great opinion of the serbs, and no one is even thinking of recognizing Kosovo's so called independence.

The word gypsies derived from the Greek word Egyptioi as they were supposed to be related or exiled from Egypt and Greece. So if you want an association they thank their name to the Greeks.
