Either you're absolutely ignorant, or you're just a troll. On a second though, you may be both.
However, with your lies and insults, you do nothing good for the cause of Albanians, and of Kosovo, in the eyes of Romanians.
Believe me, I have spent couple years in Kosovo, and I know Kosovo Albanians may think they have a lot of friends, but this should not be considered as a green light for making new enemies. Especially not among the neighbors who are already in EU, and NATO, and UN, and everywhere else that matters.

Next time you sing the Albanian national anthem, know that a "Roma gypsy" composed the melody: Ciprian Porumbescu. You're welcome!
(Claudiu S., 9 March 2018 15:06)

Claudiu you shouldn't be offended coz I'm telling you the truth about Roma gypsies. Roma or Romania are equivalent of gypsies. Gypsies are associated with Romani, all over Europe. The largest groups live in Romania, Serbia, Greece,Turkey, Spain and The US.

The word gypsies derived from the Greek word Egyptioi as they were supposed to be related or exiled from Egypt and Greece. So if you want an association they thank their name to the Greeks.

Claudiu,
Most of what you wrote is correct except for the last sentence above.

Did you know the noble Ghica ( Albanian: Gjika) family of Romania, 17th-19th century, were of Albanian origin. Grigore Ghica was the first Prince of Wallachia (1659-1660 and 1673-1678). There is a Ghica Palace in Colentina, Bucharest.

Claudiu,

The person you are talking to is a Serb troll from Canada.
He is not Albanian.
Most of the "Albanian" nicks here are suspect to be from that troll.
He hates everything (Kosovo, Serbia, Croatia, Russia, China included) for his own misfortunes.
He has a blog, too.

He certainly won't sing Albanian or Serbian anthem.
And he is a full-featured psychopath, shame of B92 forum.

Maybe you should read a little more about the role of Romanians (the people you are so ready to offend) in the history of Albanians, before insulting us.

Look here what Albania's Ambassador in Bucharest was saying, not so long ago: http://www.nineoclock.ro/%E2%80%9Cwe-are-proud-and-grateful-for-the-very-good-relations-between-albania-and-romania-in-all-fields%E2%80%9D/

One excerpt:
"We honor the contribution of Romania, a country that has hosted and inspired Albanian Renaissance figures, a country where the Albanian community played a crucial part in the preparation and declaration of independence. Romania hosted and supported the first Prime Minister of Albania, Ismail Qemal Vlora, who with other distinguished Albanian figures worked intensively to declare the independence of Albania, which culminated, in Vlora, on November 28, 1912. Romania gave not only their full political support, being the first country to recognize the Independence of Albania, but also important financial support for the first Albanian government.

"Moreover, it is precisely in Romania that Albanian patriots strived for opening of the first Albanian school in Korça. It was here that the patriotic society “Drita/Light” was created, where many important books and papers were published in support of the Albanian issue."

Next time you sing the Albanian national anthem, know that a "Roma gypsy" composed the melody: Ciprian Porumbescu. You're welcome!

Kosovar's are ethnic Albanians who were included in the borders of Yugoslavia in 1913, during the London Conference. The Ottoman Empire had been defeated all across Balkans, Albanians had declared independence in 1912, claiming a territory that was virtually completely invaded by Serbia, Montenegro and Greece. The head of the Provisional Government of Albania was Ismail Qemal Vlora.

The European Concert had its own interests in the region, so they undertook the designation of the Balkan borders in the new situation. For this reason, the ambassadors of Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Austria-Hungary and Russia met in London during 1912–13. They also hosted the representatives of the Balkan states. Ismail Qemal Vlora's government demanded an Albania approximately from Mitrovica (Kosovo) north to Ioannina, Greece, south.
In the end, the current borders were decided. Because of the London Conference, a considerable number of Albanians were left out, but had it not been for the Conference, there would be no Albania to begin with. In the end Albanians are native in the Balkan peninsula and Slavs are invaders.

You're right, of course. Unfortunately, many of my romanian countrymen are brainwashed into the western propaganda that says that we, in the East, are inferior to them.

In Romania, there's a cult for Germany, and when an ethnic german was a candidate - backed by the West, of course - people voted for him. He's no better then the former presidents, but he is viewed like the man the west approves, so...

Of course, there are many who think that germans, muslims and hungarians have no place in the Romanian goverment. And that feeling is growing, especially after we lost everything after accesion into the EU.

Anyway, don't worry: Romanians still have a great opinion of the serbs, and no one is even thinking of recognizing Kosovo's so called independence.

I cannot see Adrian's answer, so please allow me to reply to your question, as I am a Romanian, too.
The answer is no, many Romanians have no problem with having as president of the country a German (Saxon). By the way, in case you are wondering, he is not Christian Orthodox, but Protestant (Lutheran). I was one of the ethnic Romanians (and of Orthodox faith) who voted for him (me and another 6,288,769 Romanian citizens). Nota bene, Klaus Johannis got more than one million votes above the number received by his opponent.
Balkan region will be better when its inhabitants will decide to evaluate people based on their contribution to the society, as human beings and citizens, and not by labels like ethnicity or religion. So, yes, many Romanians voted for the German guy, seeing him rather as being a serious person, a high-school professor of physics and Mayor of one of the top 10 cities of Romania (Sibiu).
IMO, most of my fellow Romanians (part of Balkan people by history and culture, albeit not by geography) have no problem with a German president, a Magyar as minister of Culture, Health or Environment (it happened already), or a Turkish, Muslim woman as prime-minister (it was proposed, she lost the nomination due to suspicions of political corruption). Maybe our example could help others, in due time, to overcome some prejudices acquired during centuries of turbulent history.

Romania asked for help?

First of all, Romania should understand first hand as a country once ruled by the brutal dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu, they should understand very well what happened to Kosova under Slobodan Milosevich, secondly, as a now supposed democratic nation it needs to first respect the will of the 2 million inhabitants Of The Republic Of Kosova before it can give a valid opinion!!!

"will of 2 million inhabitents? The only will of these people is to get the stinking visa liberation deal so they can get the hell out of this stillborn abortion project called "kosova"!!

Maybe resurrecting Nicolae Ceaușescu and installing him back to power as Romanias leader would open the eyes of many Romanians politicians currently in power!!!
(Peter The Rocky Mountains, 8 March 2018 14:23)

I would be more inclined to believe the "Kosovars" will FINALLY get fed up with hardinaj & thaci ripping them off and take down these two "Thugs" Ceausescu-style!!!

Dude, give it up! You cannot steal land from another country and pretend everythings all right! Just make up a "new" country and all is ok...doesn't work that way. "kosova" stillborn project will continue to exist in an "hypothetical" state until the dynamics of regional politics change....and those "winds" are upon us....let's see how all this plays out, shall we?

If Russia can't help Serbia, what makes Vucic think Romania can. This shows how desperate Serbia is to save face. There will be no further compromises on Kosova's side.

Who invites them? I don't think Kosovars would like that since Romania still don't recognize the independent Republic of Kosovo. It's better for Roma gypsies not to interfere and mind their business. Kosovars don't need them.

@ little black pigeon - and who was asking you "Kosovars"? You will do as told by your masters, jasno??

"especially after we lost everything after accesion into the EU."

Such a idiocy make me doubt that you are a Romanian... You talk about Romanians brainwashed by West and your name/nickname is Matteo, an Italian name? WTF?

Claudiu,
Most of what you wrote is correct except for the last sentence above.

Serbia playing games. As Bekim Čolaku said "EU is the official mediator and no replacement is needed". Why would Romania who has problems of its own do something like this? By the way Serbs, we weren't born yesterday.
