"Nothing has changed - Slovakia won't recognize Kosovo"

The issue of Kosovo is "difficult for Serbia" - and one of the conditions put before Serbia, says Slovakia's foreign minister.

Less than Independence, more than autonomy....what that means?
(Watcher, 7 March 2018 22:05)

That means nothing, dear! If it means something to you, feel free to explain since you came up with it...

We have a Croatian Albanian parliament member visiting The Republic Of Kosova today, a beautiful thing!
[link]/
Serbia still has a thing or two to learn when it comes to democracy!!!

I'm wondering, and for hypothetical purposes, if Serbia wants Kosova to remain a part of Serbia, Kosova should demand its own police force, its own military, equivalent in manpower and equipment to that of Serbia " both would contribute to the expenses" Kosova's own parliament, equally distributed budget expenditures based on the population, the right to run for executive political positions "prime minister, president, etc"!
Wondering, would Serbia possibly agree to this???
(Peter The Rocky Mountains, 7 March 2018 19:14)

Yes - we'll kave this abortion project called "kosova" aka "Europes youngest democracy" teach us how not to ethnic cleanse, detroy churche, destroy graveyards, etc...damn, you're stupid!

No, I extremely doubt Srbija would agree to those crazy conditions! Maybe some of them, but definantly NOT "kosova" having a army...What I can tell is this: It will not be fun for either side! = Less than Independence, more than autonomy....what that means? I have my opinions, but the negotiators will hammer that out!

In the meantime, the accession process will modernise our country at the expense of the EU.
(Zoran, 6 March 2018 17:09)

Serbia being modernised is great for the EU, too. It's a win-win situation, EU and other countries in the region do not want a failed Serbia state at their borders.

How on earth is this a news? A news worthy would be if anything changes. The funny part is that the "news" of Slovakia not changing their mind. Comes to B92 every other month.

Funny because on an article I read in Bota Sot, Slovak FM said on Twitter without Kosovo recognition Serbia can't join EU.
(Avni, 6 March 2018 17:49)

Great news all around – Slovakia will not recognise Kosovo and Serbia will not join the EU. Its music to my ears but knowing the EU, it will fold like a cheap suit because it needs Serbia.

Every time they roll out that “Serbia must recognise Kosovo or no EU, Serbia responds with keep your EU then the excuses are rolled out – we were miss quoted or we will not pressure Serbia, as if they could anyway and negotiations continue LOL.

What is required is a clear message to Serbia. No further negotiations until you recognise Kosovo, but the EU is a spineless jellyfish with no backbone because Serbia tells the EU it’s our way or there is the highway boys.

Thank you for convincing the Slovak FM, you da man!

Thank you Russia and Slovakia for recognizing Kosovo.
My next vacation is in Slovakia and Russia (just not during the World Cup).

That's the last time I'm going to Slovak beaches. O ya they don't have any like Serbia no wonder they are always upset as usual. You Slovaks can still come to Croatia like you always do over 500,000 of you every year. Relax and chill out with cold one in beautiful Croatia we will try not to hold that against you.

@ avniaj - Don't worry, plenty of time to go...trust me, EU won't let go of Srbija because of "kosova"! You're a fool to think so!
When the time comes, "kosova" will dance to whatever tune EU is playing....or else!

Keep your "principles". The communist leader Enver Hoxha had also "principles" like "we will starve/eat grass and not betray our principles of Marxism-Leninism". And in fact he and his family was living in luxury while the Albanian people have been through very tough life...Now has Slovakia enough balls to undo Kosovo independence, I don't think so.

Thank you Slovakia for your principled stance. Serbia will most likely not be joining the EU if the condition is Kosovo because we also have our principles. In the meantime, the accession process will modernise our country at the expense of the EU.

We are going to sell our soul on a false prospectus. The EU is over in its current form after Italy. American leverage is waning or almost extinct.
No more talks unless these sickos get real.
