Kosovo's objective is to get recognised as a state. So Kosovo is focusing on the right thing to get recognised as a state - i.e. by getting other states to recognise Kosovo. As far as state recognition is concerned, focusing on the UN is wrong because the UN does not possess any authority to recognise either a state or a government. So, Russia and China's veto power as far as state recognition is concerned are worthless.

First of all,

Secondly being UN nation is not a big deal.
North Korea and Chad are UN members and they are miserable countries.
Taiwan is not UN member and are paradise on Earth... much better than China and Serbia...
Kosovo is independent like it or not.
Serbia will accept its independence this year according to Vucic,will sign a binding agreement which it is recognition in reality.

Kosovo's objective is to get recognised as a state. So Kosovo is focusing on the right thing to get recognised as a state - i.e. by getting other states to recognise Kosovo. As far as state recognition is concerned, focusing on the UN is wrong because the UN does not possess any authority to recognise either a state or a government. So, Russia and China's veto power as far as state recognition is concerned are worthless.

Furthermore, Whales swim in oceans, they are not generally found on maps. However, most Serbs and other educated people (including some, but obviously not all, Albanians) probably can find Wales on a map.
