Interesting how the Russian official can point to many specifics demonstrating the failures of Kosovo. However, when it comes to Kosovo's Western sponsors, there is only very general rhetoric with no specifics. A good argument is won when the debaters can provide specifics to back up their claims. Nice job by the Russian ambassador for doing his homework :-)

With the CEE-China format and among its 13 CEE countries, small Serbia has snatched half of Chinese investment. China's Central Bank has chosen Beograd as its CEE headquarter. Chinese investment in Bosnia is exclusively awarded to RS. The message is clear.

Clearly and as expected, the western powers are defending their own past actions, not the so-called Kosovo. They couldn’t care less about Albanians. US stuck their huge base there and the rest of the West uses the opportunity to send soldiers, create committees and otherwise justify their own salaries and career positions. Without conflicts people like Tusk and Hahn and Junker would have nothing to say or do. Serbia should just continue to buy time, grow stronger and work with countries that don’t ask for “special conditions “ for memberships, like China and Russia.

The British representative said about ten years after Kosovo's declaration of independence progress has been made, and that Kosovo has economic growth.

"It's not the same country as ten years ago when UNMIK was established," said he, adding that building democracy requires time.

UNMIK was established more than 10 years ago. These people have no idea what they are talking about.

I don't think that Kosovo Albanians really care if they get recognition from Belgrade. I think that it's the west's push and after Serbia is forced to recognize Kosovo, and Kosovo continues to be a very poor and lawless place,the west will abandon democracy building in Kosovo like they did in Libya, Afghanistan and Iraq. I'm sorry if this sounds negative, but I think it is a realistic assessment. I think that the only way life will improve in the Balkans is if the different people realize that the EU and the west are not going to help them, and that they have to help themselves.

The last time Kosovo i Metohija was a hostage of Serbia, the deliberate actions of the forces under the control of the FRY and Serbian authorities caused the departure of at least 700000 Kosovo Albanians from Kosovo in the short period of time between the end of March and beginning of June 1999.

Compare that to the present where, according to Watcher, Kosovo i Metohija is a hostage of “Kosova” sponsors... the forces under the control of “Kosova” sponsors have not undertaken any deliberate actions to cause the departure of at least 700000 Kosovo residents within a period of about 2 months.

So the present is obviously much better compared to the last time when Kosovo i Metohija was a hostage of Serbia.

I don't think that Kosovo Albanians really care if they get recognition from Belgrade.
