A person in EU is Either very polite and Nice or very hateful and Racist.. I don't blame them for being racist.. but other nations are moving to their countries bc EU is colonizing them, killing them in a PROPER way… sorry for being subjective.
If we are going to start with history, we should identify the character of old Imperial states. Imperial states were differing from each other by the cultures of the people. Ottoman Empaire in this respect has to be accepted as the follower of Roman Empire, if you want to seperate it call Bizantion. In 18. century nation states stated to emerge, which requir ed enemie s or others. In this period Balkan people also started to search out to find enemy and Ottomans were the obvious enemy. In this respect there are two opposition to Ottomans; a coeercive Ottoman for Balkan nations and a culturally different Easterner. Both Marx and Weber descriebed East as the opposite of West as value basis. This was done completely to define West not to define "objective" East.
In cultural terms Balkan nations share similar values with the Turks. For that reason EU were hesitant to include them to the Union. Still there are some states not included in the union. On the other hand in Western Europe culture is deeply different. Turkish "gastarbaiters" are living in their ghettos. They did not participated to the daily life of the others. And the ghetto life make them to stick to their close community and of course feel themselves uneasy.
