12 EU countries want to bring "the six western Balkan nations" to EU policy meetings "even before they join the bloc."

And Austria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia "want to go further and propose an annual EU summit with the Western Balkan leaders of Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia," the agency reported, citing the paper.
No Germany or France? That's a non-starter.

This is so pointless and senseless.
How can you invite countries with tremendous hate for one another based on nationalism and religion.
They are not ready to join EU, they do not even meet minimum requirements as it relates to rule and law. Their governments are heavily involved in organized crimes, corruption and list goes on.
Let the Chinese and Russians take them, before you know it they will come crawling to EU.
When that happens, then we will know for sure they are ready to join EU.
