You are so right! Cuba's medical and education systems rank along side any western country and then some. The second biggest medical school is in Havana, and students from worldwide study there. In many natural disasters Castro always sends his medical doctors and nurses. True, their standard of living is below many countries, but it is still the best in comparison to other Caribbean and some African countries. However, their education, medicine, and many other social benefits are free. At the very least, Cuba is a paradise country with beautiful people as opposed to the American terrorists who cause havoc around the globe and blame others for it.

I was in the US from August until end of October 2017. I have also spent time in China so I speak from experience.

You are so right! Cuba's medical and education systems rank along side any western country and then some. The second biggest medical school is in Havana, and students from worldwide study there. In many natural disasters Castro always sends his medical doctors and nurses. True, their standard of living is below many countries, but it is still the best in comparison to other Caribbean and some African countries. However, their education, medicine, and many other social benefits are free. At the very least, Cuba is a paradise country with beautiful people as opposed to the American terrorists who cause havoc around the globe and blame others for it.

Serbia has been ruined in only one generation.

In 15-17 centuries there were several competing hordes in the region - the Mamelukes, Great Mogols of Iran and the Ottomans. All 3 were ruled by the Slavs but in 1517 near Aleppo (Haleb = Gleb) the mamelukes were defeated and became part of the Ottomans. The Mogols went eastward and resisted for another century but were defeated too. So the Ottomans spread to Asia, Indonesia, Japan, Africa and both America. Well, the link you provided says that about 20 thousand people went to Cuba for health tourism in a year. That's about 0,1% of the health tourists worldwide in a year; 0,1% is hardly "popular". Just one example as a comparison - Jordan was a destination for a quarter million health tourists in a year making Cuba just a rounding error.

icj - how many people do you think a small island like that can accommodate - especially with limited resources? You need to educate yourself - Cuba is a one of the world leaders in medical research. Simple fact is they don't have the red tape of the US FDA and lobbyists to hinder their research.

Betsy, Zoran, out of more than 323 million people in United States of America around 146000 people visited Cuba annually. Simply for the huge majority there are better things to do. Anyway there are Cubans pretty much everywhere in United States of America. Now the question is why there arn't Americans in Cuba pretty much everywhere?

However, how do you account having only 2 parties holding office for more than 180 years and all your presidents have to come from those parties? Most of those middle eastern refugees are not political but economic refugees – meaning they are looking for a better life - and they know which countries they want to go, and the US is not one of them.

I was in the US from August until end of October 2017. I have also spent time in China so I speak from experience.
