"Kosovo is deeply divided. It is a weak state on the verge of collapse, one could say — especially in comparison to Serbia, which has developed very strongly, both economically and overall. Pristina must finally make concessions to Kosovo's Serbian community. The agreement to form the Community of Serb Municipalities was signed years ago. That agreement needs to be finally implemented. I believe that's Pristina's obligation."
--Austrian diplomat and politician Wolfgang Petritsch

So, if they want European support, they need to change their behavior or the EU will just let them collapse.

Well, Mr.Thaci, the EU has 28 member states, and they have different opinion on how to deal with a unilaterally self-proclaimed state by an ethnic minority. Most objections are not based on Kosovo, but about a general approach on how to deal with (violent) ethnic minorities, because these states have/had/could have similar issues, for example Spain with the violent Basque ETA separatists/terrorists.

Furthermore, maybe less EU countries would have these objections against Kosovo if Kosovo would be a democracy instead of a corrupt mafiocracy, which is the merit of persons like Thaci, Haradinaj et.al.

Thaci is correct! He has a very valid point about EU’s unity, but in this case, he’s (“Kosova”) is the subject to be sacrificed!
The bitterness of actual EU policy lingers long after the sweetness of EU promise is gone!!!
Pristina needs to spit the hook and negotiate with the only people who can give them anything...BEOGRAD!!! Trump can’t give the Albanians what is not his to give!
