Believe or not, Saak is quite loved by Muscovite intelligentsia or by Hungarians.
I can testify for both.

The reason is not his connection to Uncle Sam (not the favorite of either) - but for his dealing with Georgian corruption and simplification of Georgian bureaucracy.

He is highly controverse figure in Russia. We cannot overlook that he was also mayor of Odessa - a nearly 100% pro-Russian city in Ukraine (and 200% Jewish).

So that was not for nothing.

Ironically, he has far worse relationship with Poroshenko than with Putin.

See the corruption thing, that's why.

Saak was pathetically failing in his foreign policy in Georgia, his domestic politics was quite OK. As far as Ukraine - we have to support him over Poroshenko.
