Welcome to Earth, dear! Americans have always been only interested in America.

The US State Department is now being dismantled and flushed down the fuc*ing toilet where it belongs along with both Bill and Hillary and both Bushes and Barack too.

Never again will it have the power it had under the last 27 years of failed American presidencies.

New President.

New rules.

New policies.

Job #1: Dismantle US State Dept.

And why should he not dismantle it? Americans don't give a sh*t anymore about the problems of the world. Those days are over.

For the foreseeable future Americans are only interested in America.

The people of the Balkans need to grow up and figure it out themselves.

Grow up. Solve your own problems.

PS: Milosevic is dead.

UN membership is not as important to Kosovo at the current stage. They are still a developing country, they already have a high economic growth rate that is actually higher than UN-member countries in the region and beyond, and so for the moment (meaning for many many many years), they can afford to stay the way that they are without a UN membership. The only real pressure that is happening is for Serbia. As it closes EU accession chapters and all that's left is Chapter 35 (Normalization of Relations with Kosovo), Serbia will be faced with the demand of recognizing Kosovo. Although the union as a whole does not have a cohesive stance on Kosovo's independence, ratification of Chapter 35 must have the approval of all EU member states. So if just 1 EU country does not deem Chapter 35 satisfied, there will not be an admission of Serbia to the EU. Dacic can say all he wants that it doesn't matter if Serbia joins or not, but it will be the Serbian voters that will decide. My bet is, neither Vucic nor Dacic will be reelected by the Serbian voters if they follow this policy. The benefits of joining EU far outweigh the benefits of being a landlocked ally of Russia surrounded by countries that will eventually join the European Union. Other political actors within Serbia will wise up the electorate towards this reality, and the stagnation that will set in will help them greatly.

have a referendum that addresses the western demand to legalize what the west did to Serbia.
(marKo, 28 November 2017 18:57)

Seems a bit of a waste of money to organise a referendum about a "western demand" that does not exist... but, hey, if you think that Serbia's poor taxpayers have so much money that they don't know what to do with it, by all means go ahead

Avni, that's not Serbian official position. Whoever even try in Serbia to recognise Kosovo will probably need a police protection to the rest of his life. It's unrealistic and it won't happen.

If Pristina were serious about getting recognition from Belgrade, they would have passed the laws that establish the "Association of Serb Municipalities" that they had agreed to years ago. I hope I don't offend anyone, but my thinking is that Prisitina, at this time, does not care either way if we recognize their so called independence.

I think the pressure that Belgrade is under has nothing to do with the Albanians, but with the Western powers. The western powers want, as Dacic just said, to "legalize what they did in the Balkans" So my question is two-fold

Why are we talking to the Albanians, when they don't care whether we recognize them or not, and will not live up to their promises?

Are we prepared to legalize the western bombing and annexation of Kosovo?

My suggestion would be to suspend any further talks with Pristina until at least they implement what they already agreed to, and have a referendum that addresses the western demand to legalize what the west did to Serbia.

If Serbs are happy with more promises from the west, and are okay with being bombed and having a third of their territory taken by force and swindle, we should resume talks. If not, we should admit to ourselves that we don't have friends in the west, and look at a future beyond the EU

You just proved a great point! Kosovo wouldn't be an issue today if it wasn't for the Muslim overbreeding for the last 40 years - or, let's call it what it is, an "infestation". Having a family of 14 and only being able to feed 3 - maybe staying with Serbia's welfare program might be a better option for you than breaking away.

That's right, Washington can't join direct talks but it can join behind the scenes, as it already does. Haradinaj just needs someone to hold his hand, he's not used to negotiation. Normally people who disagree with him just get liquidated but that doesn't work too well out of "Kosova"***

By 2050 according scientific statistics 33% of the serbian population will decline and dissappear, while the albanian population will continue to grow. Albanians will outnumber the serbs in ten years and we will develop a strategy in order to remove the serbian virus from the balkans and europe once and for all and make sure they will go back home were they came from. Siberia is waiting for them.........
