His guilty verdict was always there and the trial was just a puppet show and the life sentence was already decided.
He knew it, we all knew it.
So whether guilty or not he was going away for the rest of his life and you can ask why he hid.

I am stunned that a nations leader can talk like that, it is the equivalent of a Nazi general leading Germany after the war and crying that a concentration camp guard who died got no sympathy when killed by the allies! Serbians need to grow up and accept the shame of their actions. Serbia is a pariah if they can not accept their guilt.
