If Serbia is to offer some kind of arrangement to the Albanian community, the north, enclaves and extra territorial status for the remaining monasteries need to be held onto at all costs, but also opening the question of Republika Srpska. Think about it, this is all in line with Serbia's current strategy. If it’s the wrong way to build up an economy why are places like Slovenia or Croatia not progressing? They are both part of NATO so what has gone wrong there? There is no investment coming into Croatia. It relies on EU funds to keep schools and hospitals in repair. Young and qualified people are leaving in large numbers each year????

If Vucic was voted in by 23%, US presidents have been voted in by even less that that margin. You have to understand that the US of 2017 is not the same US which existed in 1970.


Investment has nothing to do with NATO since there are several US companies that have opened shop in Serbia.

Serbia has completed making the climate right for corporations to open industry and employ Serbs. It has guaranteed companies certain conditions and look the west is falling over itself to invest.

The next stage is to reform land ownership and legal system so it gives smaller investors guarantees and when that is done watch how the flood of money comes in. If I was a small investor, I would not invest in Serbia under the current system. It’s a relic of the old communist period.

Serbia has used the Chinese model and adapted it to its conditions. Today, China is the No1 economy in the world by 2035/40 it will be twice the size of the US. Not saying that Serbia will achieve the Chinese status, but it will rise to be one of the best economies in Europe.

sj, That's not the right way how economy is building up. Serbia's current strategy will cause so many problems for the future generations. Remember for a huge reasons majority(of those who don't live in Serbia) of people didn't voted for Vucic. Overall around 23% voted for Vucic of those who could voted. If Serbia joins to NATO I'm pretty certain that US will change its policies towards the Serbia which will open the doors for more then 3 million Serbs to invest in Serbia's economy to the fullest with proper laws in place which the way it is now won't to invest.

The Serbs have learnt a good lesson and that is tell them what they want to hear, but quietly do what you want.

That's correct, dear. But that was because NATO's goal was to get Serbia's army and police out of Kosovo, not to win some ass kicking competition. If you need a medal for being better at ass kicking competitions, I totally agree that you should get it!
