SJ: You are right that Bosniaks have voted for Izetbegovic many times, but his official role is largely ceremonial due to the nature of the Presidency of BiH. It is not what he does in this official capacity that is the problem, it is the high level of corruption and nepotism that occurs out of the glare of publicity. Dodik on the other hand wields supreme control within the limits of what Parliament allows. It doesn't matter whether Dodik is Prime Minister or President, this absolute authority follows him around.

The reason why the west/ the rest dislike Mr Dodik is that he has his fingers in corrupt financial deals which feather his own nest and his hatchlings while the rest of RS suffer critical shortfalls for pensions, investments, reviews of fair practices in allocations of EU funds, school resources. Not to mention the elephant in the room; he continues to further the lie that RS is based on some sort of legitmacy that denies the bloody swamp that gave rise to the mess that is RS. Reconcile. Review. Re direct. Re build BiH.

I would not jump too much for joy from this article as Dodik is a master at playing the political game. As far as Serbia selling out Serbs in Republika Srpska for a couple of assets in Kosovo don’t hold your breath waiting for the official sell out ceremony since there are more valuable mines and other resources in RS than Kosovo.

The reason why the west hates Dodik is because they thought by installing him they would get a sell-out so now they keep portraying him as undemocratic but if they would install another one who danced to their tune then everything he/she does will be perfect.

I note that the Bosniaks have voted Izetbegovic term after term and not a peep out of the democratic loving west LOL. That’s what I like about the west they have such a balanced approach.

(Watcher, 7 November 2017 21:53) Good to see you agree. Croatian forces https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_io5eFj2fygwill take care of it in no time. Then we can all laugh at what criminal fools Serbs are as usual.

Mr Dodik usually plays the referendum card when elections are pending and he can therefore extract maximum mileage from the policy. As we are eleven months away from the next elections he can afford to put the issue out to grass for a while. There is no point expending his dwindling political capital unnecessarily.

Croatian and Bosnian parliaments the law makers have never ratified the the Dayton BS so its dead. That includes the genocidal Criminal dead "Srpska entity" aka criminal fascist warmonger expansionist Serbia in Bosnia. Their criminal days are numbered.

@joni,
thanks for those numbers:
if we are to believe them (though the ECMI calls for caution refering to the 2011 census), lets beleive them all.
it would seem that in 1991 a mere 20 years earlier there were only 9,091 albanians in kosovo, what you're calling all albanian land. and there were 194,190 serbs in kosovo.
those numbers suggest a 87% reductions (call it cleansing) in serbian population, and a roughly 1800% increase in albanian population (call it cleansing).

however, as i think of it, this article is specific to bosnia, not kosovo. why bring up kosovo?

Russia and Serbia are sacrificing 2 million Serbs in Bosnia for the mines in Kosovo.
In the census of 2011 in Kosovo live 27 983 Serbs and 28 989 Bosnians.
In Kosovo live more Bosnians than Serbs.
Less than 1% of population.
