I wonder if Greece has seen improvement of the living standards of its citizens since joining the EU?
(Kent Prince, 6 November 2017 13:19)

Yes, dear, it did see improvement.
(icj1, 6 November 2017 14:16)

you see everything upside down
(Jugoslavija, 7 November 2017 17:02)

Greece's GDP per capita was about $6000 in 1980 (the year before it joined the EU) and it is about $18000 today. According to the math that is taught in most the world, 18000 is 3 times higher than 6000. But, I totally understand that in your math it is the opposite and hence everything looks upside down to you lol
(icj1, 8 November 2017 03:18)

Your going to lecture a Greek citizen on the economy?
(Jugoslavija, 9 November 2017 17:30)

No, dear, I don't. Feel free though to do so if you wish and let us know when your lectures convince the majority of Greek citizens that Greece should leave the EU.

Your going to lecture a Greek citizen on the economy? Triple the GDP means squat for the majority of the population when you don't have a job. Varoufakis had the right idea about declaring bankruptcy and going back to the Drachma, unfortunately Tsipras scapegoated his finance minister and made a deal with the EU selling off state owned companies at bargain basement prices.

Sj you continue to assume Serbia is more valuable to the EU than the other way around.

Then why is your leadership so anxious to continue?

Also you forget Slovenia 🇸🇮 and Croatia 🇭🇷 having VETO over your membership...

You can’t have your cake and eat it too...

Negotiations involve compromise and Serbia will have to accept and recognize Kosova as a neighbor that is over 96% Indigenous Shqiptare And INDEPENDENT!

There is nothing special about having you in the EU that they would overlook their own principles and values just to have you on board...

Look at Greece 🇬🇷....
They lied their way in and have basically sponged off the EU form day one!

Greece would starve if they ever get throughout.

Yes Sj we believe you....

We agree the EU desperately needs Serbia 🇷🇸 to become a member and not the other way around!

EU must have the War Crimes Capital of the world to show everyone Rule of Law....

Europe has to have Serbia as it would function in a much better financial condition than without it.

How fortunate is this continent to have serbs with their INAT,Genocide,War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity!

The heavenly people that never would hurt so much as a fly and yet have mass graves litter all the former Yugoslavian states....

The Hague is saturated with heavenly serbs mistakenly convicted because of bad luck.

Serbs deserve everything they get and then some!

As I said you don’t understand the importance of Serbia to the EU. The west is investing in Serbia proper hand over fist and the EU negotiations are continuing unabated.

Now what have the Albanians got out of "obeying orders"? Investment in Kosovo? No, not a cracker, absolutely nothing! They live in abject poverty and when the time comes assets will be sold to western interests and the Albanians will nothing out of it.

The west treats Albanians like cannon fodder and have little regard for them meanwhile Serbs do what they want and get everything as a reward. Think about it for a minute or two.

What has to be understood is that Serbia is extremely important to the EU and Brussels will tolerate anything to keep Serbia on side. If Belgrade wishes to “sit on two chairs” then that is fine with Brussels and no amount of hot air from US officials is going to change things. As a matter of interest, the US of Piss and Wind half deputy Yee has already managed a huge summersault with pike and declared that his advice was not an ultimatum, but simply advice LOL. As I said Piss and Wind.

Serbia has told the EU that it will NEVER implement sanctions against Russia, it will keep all trade agreements, there will be no recognition of Kosovo and Serbia will decide who it deals or trades with. Sorry lads but its true Brussels is well aware of these facts. Belgrade has told Brussels if you don’t like this then stop all accession talks. Have they stopped? No Brussels has accelerated them LOL.

Serbia has so called 'loyalty obligations' towards Russia which during the 1st world war was the only country that backed Serbia.
The EU offers Serbia far better conditions for advancement but demands that Serbia joins their policy of unity (towards Russia).
The EU will not abandon Serbia so easily because that would give Russia an open playing field, right in the heart of Europe.

There are no foreign policy rules in the EU. Each EU nation has its own foreign Minister and decides its own foreign policy. Sometimes they all agree on a single policy. Sometimes they don't. For example, not all EU nations have recognised Kosovo's independence from Serbia.

When the Germans, French and all other EU states give up their independent foreign policy, sack their foreign Ministers and accept a single EU foreign Minister as their spokesman, then Serbia could be asked to follow. Until then, however, all this criticism of Serbia is nothing but EU hot air and hypocrisy.

LOL! The Norwegian ambassador giving advice on EU membership where Norway is not even a member.

There are no set rules for membership as we saw with Romania and Bulgaria and being close to Russia seems to work to our advantage. Look at K-Albanians, they love the EU, US and NATO and are getting nowhere. Not even on the white Schengen list. LOL!

Norway seems very comfortable sitting on two chairs one buttock on it's own chair whilst enjoying the comfort afforded the other gluteus maximus by the EU.Maybe Serbia should follow that example rather than diving into an institution so completely which is exceedingly difficult to leave once sucked in,as the United Kingdom now knows to it's cost!

I doubt EU wants any more free loaders on its team.

Serbia's best option is to play it cool, keep both sides appeased and with that buy time.

If anyone thinks once in the EU Belgrade has to tow the line, your very sadly mistaken.

Not existence of Yugoslavia is great thing that happened.
Non NATO membership earned Yugoslavia to be out of Kosova and Metohija.
Traditionally Serbian regimes were against great economy and the very same apply to the Yugoslavian regimes!

Many lands were stolen from Serbia after the break up of Yugoslavia since Serbia had different territories in the year 1918. when joined to Yugoslavia which world powers need to fix in order to support justice.
