(Skenderbeu 1444, 13 November 2017 17:52)

I represent no one except for Amnesty Yugoslavia. It’s Matic and his commission who (stupidly?, according to you) made promises and representations to the families of RTS victims to investigate the mass murder of their loved ones. I am simply following-up on Matic’s supposed representation.

NOW. GET OFF MY. YOU KNOW WHAT.
(Skenderbeu 1444, 13 November 2017 17:52)

You have not only confused the definition of basic publication terminologies such as “article” and “interview”, but you’re apparently suffering from other neuro-cognitive distress. The fact is I am NOT on any part of your “you know what”. However, I do sincerely offer my empathy as much of your cognitive capacity may apparently originate from a distressed “you know what”.

you who can't even tell the difference between an interview (Mr. Matic's interview on the investigative commission) and an article
(Skenderbeu 1444, 13 November 2017 17:52)

You may wish to learn the difference is that “article” is a broader genus than “interview”. The B92 English website publishes different types of articles that are categorized under different headings. The categories for these different articles include News articles that are categorized under the headings: Politics, Bus&Econ., Region, Society, Crime, and World. There are other articles in the Women Refugees section that include the content from blogs of women as refugees. Lastly, is the B92 “Insight” section which contains articles that are classified as “Opinion& Analyses”, “Interview” or “Press Room”, among others. Each of these articles, in all of the B92 sections meet the minimal criteria of a “published article”: each has a headline, byline, content (which can include an interview) as well as other descriptive content such as the italicized components in the recent article that bracketed Matic’s interview.

What exactly makes you think that any idiot any complexed idiot with his own kettle of salep made up mainly of personal or professional failures can show up and pretend he's qualified to represent RTS victims families? The only fact you provided here exhaustive evidence for IS YOUR COMPLETE LACK OF ANY MORAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS TO PARTAKE IN ANY SERIOUS DISCUSSION ON THIS INVESTIGATIVE COMMISSION OR ANY FUTURE INVESTIGATIVE COMMISSION FOCUSING ON THE MURDER OF JOURNALISTS. I posted documented facts about Matic / B92, their funding and editorial bias.

Your the one who categorized it “bad” or “bad-mouth(ing)”.

I assume others who’ve had their views censored or under-represented on B92, such as the families of RTS victims would agree with your “bad” label.

You just confirmed my theory: I also wanted to create and chair an investigative commission who would put under trial Blair and Clintons for their crimes in middle east but then I was told I had 0 chances to succeed against old wolves and I gave up. If I have an important message to send to the universe b92 lets me do that and that is all that counts for me. I dont care who has funded b92 or our media and intellectuals as long as these media have survived in hard times have paid and pay their journalists, support financially important campaigns for Serbiana's babies and IT devices for Serbiana's students, publish books of albanian researchers and writers. I am pragmatic and you are pragmatic also. You badmouth b92 but you are still taking advantage of their platform when you have your message to send to the universe and that is Kosovo is a fenced in geto. You understand that is just a question of time right? Start thinking on something more creative..

...if it is true what you are saying that he had previously declared the scope of this investigative commission powers would include the murdering of RTS journalists. I don't think he ever did, it would be a stupid thing if he did.

Please read the words from another Matic “ interview” printed on Oct 20 2016 on B92.net English site:

“The Commission also is working on a case against NATO over the deaths of 16 Radio Television of Serbia (RTA) staffers killed in a 1999 NATO airstrike targeting RTS’ Belgrade headquarters. It is the Commission’s most difficult case yet, as they are trying to hold accountable not only the pilot who fired a missile into the building, but also top NATO decision-makers who ordered the missile’s launch.”

I have tried to be impartial and restrict my comments and analyses to Matic’s own words and (in)actions. If I was an investigative journalist striving for full discourse, then I would have posted more information on conflicts of interest based on the sums, and sources, of funding that Matic/B92 received in the 1990s - early 2000s. I’ll let you conduct your own research to discover these compelling facts about this commission’s chair.

@ Amnesty I needed to read Mr. Matic profile on vikipedia in order to know what his position was on nato bombing of Yugoslavia. I learnt he declared his position against and spoke out against and wrote articles about that. What you call "mass murder" of journalists was and still is considered "collateral damage". There's nothing Mr. Matic can do in order to pursue nato officials in this case, if it is true what you are saying that he had previously declared the scope of this investigative commission powers would include the murdering of RTS journalists. I don't think he ever did, it would be a stupid thing if he did. On the other hand you should know that I also have a list of albanian civilians murdered and raped in Kosovo. What about the Bytyqi brothers who were killed although they helped their serb neighbors to get to a safer place? Be sure that if I was to bother Mr. Matic about anything it would be only and exclusively in the interest of my people and my lists. With two words, technically the murder of RTS journalists DOES NOT AMOUNT to a mass murder perpetrated by Nato, the killings in Kosovo DO. Metaphorically both are unjustified deaths genocides mass murders crimes horrible crimes etc. Maybe a lawsuit for the use of depleted uranium but that implies researches and resources and medical expertise. Maybe, I don't know if that is possible either. Of course May they rest in peace, any of them in Serbia and everywhere in the world. And they will but not now, in the future hopefully.

@Skenderbeu 1444 Before you start with the “ignorant” name calling perhaps you should consider some facts:
This is a government established commission. It’s not “family and friends”. The commission has journalists AND dedicated criminal investigators from both the government interior ministry, security and police. Matic chairs the work of these professional criminal investigators. The hundreds of friends and families of murdered RTS journalists were certainly hopeful when Veran Matic explicitly announced the commission would investigate NATOs horrendous crime. How do you think the sons and daughters feel every time they read a commmsion report in Matic’s controlled press and never see any information or progress in the investigation of the killing of their father or mother, uncle, aunt, son or daughter or cousin? You were fortunate your Father had the chance to defend himself. RTS journalists were condemned to death without a trial. Despite his own proclamation to investigate these mass murders, Veran Matic has not published one word about the investigation of the NATO crime. Perhaps it was Veran Matic who wished to establish a false veneer of impartiality and avoid the “traitor” label? Please ask him. It would have been more honest of him to label the commission as an investigation into the murders of Curuvija, Vujasinovic, and Pantic. If not able to get justice, the 100s of RTS victims families, at least deserved honesty from this so called chairman.

Skenderbeu 1444

Who are "you" Amnesty? Is this the comment section of the international edition of a serbian news organization or is this a popular trial? Carefully consider my remarks before I imitate my friend Azir and start my comments by addressing the audience "attention ignorant serbs"! Hoxha's emancipated witches' humor doesn't work with me, very strong anticorps developed since tiny me saw his own father going to face a small a very small popular trial he won. And he won because he never admitted he did anything wrong. And he didn't. There are dozens of investigative commissions in both Serbia and Albania on a wide range of controversial issues and events. Since the controversial event here is the allegded murder of journalists Mr. Matic represents the broad category he belongs to. The category Mr. Matic belongs to can help collecting evidence or any fact they consider helpful and worth of a judge's evaluation, along with the other members of the commission. They are not entitled to indict anyone, the case's prosecutor will when all the evidence will be submitted to the prosecution. Relatives, friends can also collect evidence, collecting evidence doesn't amount to proper criminal investigation powers. It is and it remains a prerogative of the judiciary system. Question for Amnesty: What if I start questioning the real reasons you're huffing and puffing against this commission? Joking Amnesty of course you're here just because you want to expose another serb traitor. Tighten the lines Amnesty tighten the lines, from victory into another victory Amnesty!

Being chairman of the investigative commission of crimes against journalists doesn't transform Matic in a criminal investigator.

No conflict of interests here. Being chairman of the investigative commission of crimes against journalists doesn't transform Matic in a criminal investigator. B92 is a privately owned media organization, obviously that does imply discretionary powers of the editor in chief and editorial staff in choosing the content to be published but you still need to provide evidence of the bias. This is an interview, this is not an article containing an interview.

You can agree or not agree but accusing Matic Sir for being partly responsible for the bombing and the death of journalists during bombing is beyond any logic principles. It would be comic if it wasn't tragic and very dangerous trend. My impression.
(Skenderbeu 1444, 6 November 2017 16:12)

---

Matic has an obvious conflict. He controls B92 media and he also is an investigator for the prosecution of crimes. He uses his editorial powers to selectively publish information on some crimes while, apparently, suppressing information on others. Such control by one person over both media and criminal prosecution (an obvious conflict of interest) are reminiscent of regimes such as Enver Hoxha.

As a criminal investigator, Matic should not have a bias. He should be demonstrating equal attention to NATO crimes, as all others. If he isn't devoting attention to NATO crimes, then he is contributing to their cover-up and he, in part, is also culpable.

Your "scrutinizing" gives me that impression. (Skenderbeu 1444, 4 November 2017 17:42)

This is still an article which, yes, contains transcripts of an interview with Matic. Of particular relevance is that Matic was not only the interviewee, but Matic as B92's Editor-in-Chief and General Manager, is responsible for the content of this article, as well as all the (mis?)information B92 publishes.

Matic’s personal and editorial bias results in a highly disproportionate number of publications dealing with only a small fraction of journalist murders in the former Yugoslavia. Matic’s investigations, as well as B92’s editorial content follow the editorial template of this interview and article: they ignore NATO’s premeditated mass murder (it was not an accident) of RTS journalists.

As an editor, Matic certainly should be able to select the information he wishes to publish. However, as an investigator of crimes for prosecution, his disregard of NATO’s mass murder may be considered as contributing to the continued cover-up and culpability of this crime.

The largest single crime against journalists in the former Yugoslavia was NATO’s direct targeting and mass murder of RTS journalists on April 22nd, 1999. Veran Matic’s omission of this fact from his article is disgusting. More importantly, Matic’s role as an investigator who has refused to pursue the criminals responsible for this mass murder make him, in part, culpable for this horrendous crime.

I assume others who’ve had their views censored or under-represented on B92, such as the families of RTS victims would agree with your “bad” label.

And what exactly makes you think that the families of the RTS victims journalists themselves, would have ever chosen to be represented by somebody like you who can't even tell the difference between an interview (Mr. Matic's interview on the investigative commission) and an article containing transcripts of an interview (see today's article on Izetbegovic's interview)? NOW. GET OFF MY. YOU KNOW WHAT.

This is an interview not an article. The US has bombed dozens of countries in the whole world, what do you think is there left to investigate when bombs accidentally kill civilians and journalists or doctors?

Leave the essays and political interpretation of events to politicians and leave journalists do their job! And their job is reporting and keep the power (any political power) always in check. Thats their ONLY mission.

I agree with your comment about journalists. However, Matic is no longer “ONLY” a journalist. He is, in fact, an investigator for the prosecution of crimes. Consequently, his words and actions are subject to broader interpretation and scrutiny.

Amnesty Yugoslavia

Skenderbeu 1444

Skenderbeu 1444

@ Amnesty Lets be clear, this Matic Sir doesn't for sure need my defence and I'm writing just because our albanian investigative journalists are also constantly threatened and beaten men and women included. Answer to these simple questions: If previous crimes are not investigated and criminals not persecuted, how can journalists in Serbia and Albania feel guaranteed and go on working as journalists? What you call "a small portion of murdered journalists" happens to be also that small portion of brilliant journalists, people you lost forever people who had dreams, friends, people who were killed just because they were doing their job. The RTS was bombed officially because one of the tools of Milosevic propaganda while there was an ethnic cleansing operation in process in Kosovo. Journalists died and their death was a crime. B92 has extensively reported on that bombing and killing of civilians and journalists. Any year any anniversary of that bombing. What do you want from Matic? To also pen an article cursing the american imperialists who killed millions of yugoslavs iraqis arabs and not arabs? Just so you are sure Matic is a true serb? Matic has the ethic moral and professional duty and mission as a journalist to defend the interests of the category he belongs to. Leave the essays and political interpretation of events to politicians and leave journalists do their job! And their job is reporting and keep the power (any political power) always in check. Thats their ONLY mission.

Amnisty I really think that there cant be two nations who are so similar in bad and good things and you partially remind me of Enver Hoxha's popular trials. "popular" stands for the masses who actively followed and participated to his fake trials in which brilliant people entered accused of stupid things but ended up being accused for everything, from treason to collusion with imperialists to destroy beautiful albania. Your "scrutinizing" gives me that impression. You can agree or not agree but accusing Matic Sir for being partly responsible for the bombing and the death of journalists during bombing is beyond any logic principles. It would be comic if it wasn't tragic and very dangerous trend. My impression.

Skenderbeu 1444

No conflict of interests here. Being chairman of the investigative commission of crimes against journalists doesn't transform Matic in a criminal investigator. B92 is a privately owned media organization, obviously that does imply discretionary powers of the editor in chief and editorial staff in choosing the content to be published but you still need to provide evidence of the bias. This is an interview, this is not an article containing an interview.

I represent no one except for Amnesty Yugoslavia. It’s Matic and his commission who (stupidly?, according to you) made promises and representations to the families of RTS victims to investigate the mass murder of their loved ones. I am simply following-up on Matic’s supposed representation.
