Serbia are going to pay €230 million on updating 3 decade old 6xMiG 29s their going to receive from Russia. If that was a proper donation, Russia would have either just given Serbia brand new MiGs for free or paid for the upgrades. €230M is an inflated price for upgrading three decade old air frames. With that amount of money Serbia should have just paid for 6 brand new MiG 29 airframes. That way, the life time of the air frames would have been a lot longer.

No one can claim Serbia to be the regional military power when their professional soldiers are protesting their pay and standard of living. No matter what useless old rusty toys Serbia gets from Russia, no Serb soldier would be motivated to risk their life knowing their families won’t be taken care of if they die, given how their not taken care of now during times of peace.

Serbia joined to Yugoslavia, which gained international recognition on 13 July 1922, with totally different borders then present day borders so Serbia smart move will be to join NATO in order to stop more future damages.

The days of war in the Balkans are long gone the only people looking for conflict are the Turks and now Serbian politicians. Everyone else is just trying to survive the hardships of life. Who cares about your military strength, when you have no economic or demographic future, how many youngsters are unemployed all over Serbia and the Balkans? How many children live below the poverty line? How much more money do crooked politicians have to steal before we say enough is enough? This statement from Vucic did not scare anybody in the region, it just demonstrated a lack of maturity on his part. Greece is the regions foremost regional power, yet I don’t here them ever brag about military strength and so on. On the contrary all my Greek friends are worried about their future and the future of their country. Comments like these are not becoming of Vucic, I believe him to be more intelligent than this. His representatives need to do a better job in picking his speeches and monitoring his interactions with the press.

How do you think a civil war begins? One side starts plotting and preparing to attack another.
Croatia was smuggling arms through Hungarian border before the war. Why? Belgrade didn't make a move on them.
It was Serbs who lived in Croatia during Yugoslavia time that took up arms against Croatians NOT BELGRADE.
It was the Albanians who were murdering Serbs and terrorizing them and then went onto killing policemen who provoked a response from Belgrade.
Do you even know who fired the first shot in Bosnia? It was the Muslims who killed a Serb during a wedding. Why? Why did they do that when nobody was threatening them?
Serbs from those areas took up arms and started kicking your butt and now you blame the Serbs and Serbia? Serbia wasn't even a country back then. None of them were. A country has the right to defend their people from all including domestic terrorists.

Are you referring to the then regions of bosnia and croatia? they were territories or yugoslavia at the time. the yugoslav army was sent to stop coups and separatist uprisings. you cannot separate from a unified country and draw borders on your own. foreign countries cannot come and redcraw yugoslavias borders legally either. So thats why the YUGOSLAV army was in those regions. When the US set up Erdogan to shoot down the Russian aircraft then poor Erdogan was in fear that Russia would attack Turkey and he immediately ran to NATO.
What was the response? The majority, including Germany, said Turkey was on its own. In fact, Merkel called Erdogan an idiot for picking a fight. Now fast forward it to 2017 and all western analysts agree that Russia can destroy NATO within a week (not using nuclear weapons).
Serbia has never had a beef with Slovenia and Montenegro is Serbian so they are out of the equation, but if Serbia wanted to attack Albania and Croatia, NATO would not lift a finger since Serbia has a defence pact with Russia.

The reason for arming themselves well is not for offensive purposes.
Serbia needs to be well equipped because Serbia has always been attacked and they need to be able to repel those attacks adequately.
Contrary to all the lies being spread that Serbia has started four wars blah blah blah, Serbs of the former Yugoslavia only took up arms in order to ensure their survival in the newly created hostile climate. Serbia did not send any army to attack anyone. There was no Serbia, Croatia etc. There was only Yugoslavia back when the war broke out so how could Serbia start four wars?

Why do you think? The US cried to Russia and we ended up with UNSCR1244, which confirms our sovereignty. Without that the war would have ended differently or probably still going like in Afghanistan.
UNSCR1244 helped move the war to diplomacy and that battle is still being fought today. Why do you think we have so many Albanians here begging for recognition? There were no winners and it's still under negotiation.
When you were under complete Serbian control, Albanians were breading like rabbits and lived in Kosovo. When you went under UN control and later Albanian control, the breeding stopped and everyone started escaping. The reason for arming themselves well is not for offensive purposes.
Serbia needs to be well equipped because Serbia has always been attacked and they need to be able to repel those attacks adequately.
Contrary to all the lies being spread that Serbia has started four wars blah blah blah, Serbs of the former Yugoslavia only took up arms in order to ensure their survival in the newly created hostile climate. Serbia did not send any army to attack anyone. There was no Serbia, Croatia etc. There was only Yugoslavia back when the war broke out so how could Serbia start four wars?

Croatia was smuggling arms through Hungarian border before the war. Why? Belgrade didn't make a move on them.

If that was a proper donation, Russia would have either just given Serbia brand new MiGs for free or paid for the upgrades. €230M is an inflated price for upgrading three decade old air frames. The days of war in the Balkans are long gone the only people looking for conflict are the Turks and now Serbian politicians. Everyone else is just trying to survive the hardships of life. Who cares about your military strength, when you have no economic or demographic future, how many youngsters are unemployed all over Serbia and the Balkans? How many children live below the poverty line? How much more money do crooked politicians have to steal before we say enough is enough? This statement from Vucic did not scare anybody in the region, it just demonstrated a lack of maturity on his part. Greece is the regions foremost regional power, yet I don’t here them ever brag about military strength and so on. On the contrary all my Greek friends are worried about their future and the future of their country. Comments like these are not becoming of Vucic, I believe him to be more intelligent than this. The reason for arming themselves well is not for offensive purposes.
Serbia needs to be well equipped because Serbia has always been attacked and they need to be able to repel those attacks adequately.
Contrary to all the lies being spread that Serbia has started four wars blah blah blah, Serbs of the former Yugoslavia only took up arms in order to ensure their survival in the newly created hostile climate. Serbia did not send any army to attack anyone. There was no Serbia, Croatia etc. There was only Yugoslavia back when the war broke out so how could Serbia start four wars?

UNSCR1244 helped move the war to diplomacy and that battle is still being fought today. Why do you think we have so many Albanians here begging for recognition? There were no winners and it's still under negotiation.
When you were under complete Serbian control, Albanians were breading like rabbits and lived in Kosovo. When you went under UN control and later Albanian control, the breeding stopped and everyone started escaping. Most of those here commenting how great things are, well, they are the ones that escaped and live abroad.

Croatia was smuggling arms through Hungarian border before the war. Why? Belgrade didn't make a move on them.
It was Serbs who lived in Croatia during Yugoslavia time that took up arms against Croatians NOT BELGRADE.
It was the Albanians who were murdering Serbs and terrorizing them and then went onto killing policemen who provoked a response from Belgrade.
Do you even know who fired the first shot in Bosnia? It was the Muslims who killed a Serb during a wedding. Why? Why did they do that when nobody was threatening them?

Are you referring to the then regions of bosnia and croatia? they were territories or yugoslavia at the time. the yugoslav army was sent to stop coups and separatist uprisings. you cannot separate from a unified country and draw borders on your own. foreign countries cannot come and redcraw yugoslavias borders legally either. So thats why the YUGOSLAV army was in those regions. The days of war in the Balkans are long gone the only people looking for conflict are the Turks and now Serbian politicians. Everyone else is just trying to survive the hardships of life. Who cares about your military strength, when you have no economic or demographic future, how many youngsters are unemployed all over Serbia and the Balkans? How many children live below the poverty line? How much more money do crooked politicians have to steal before we say enough is enough? This statement from Vucic did not scare anybody in the region, it just demonstrated a lack of maturity on his part. Greece is the regions foremost regional power, yet I don’t here them ever brag about military strength and so on. On the contrary all my Greek friends are worried about their future and the future of their country. Comments like these are not becoming of Vucic, I believe him to be more intelligent than this. His representatives need to do a better job in picking his speeches and monitoring his interactions with the press.

No one can claim Serbia to be the regional military power when their professional soldiers are protesting their pay and standard of living. Serbia are going to pay €230 million on updating 3 decade old 6xMiG 29s their going to receive from Russia. If that was a proper donation, Russia would have either just given Serbia brand new MiGs for free or paid for the upgrades. €230M is an inflated price for upgrading three decade old air frames. With that amount of money Serbia should have just paid for 6 brand new MiG 29 airframes. That way, the life time of the air frames would have been a lot longer.
