Well, the procedure for Kosovo's membership to the UN (if Kosovo applies) is the same as the procedure that about 190 other countries had to follow. And that procedure (as established in the UN charter) does not require Serbia's consent.
(icj1, 13 October 2017 03:06)

That's the point my dear
(njegos, 13 October 2017 14:43)

Great, so we finally are agreement that Serbia's consent is not required for the admission of new UN members and it is embarrassing for this so-called "Foreign Minister" Ivica not knowing such basic facts, that somebody like you knows.

From icji the Serb-Hater: "Well, the procedure for Kosovo's membership to the UN (if Kosovo applies) is the same as the procedure that about 190 other countries had to follow."

That's the point my dear little Serb-Hater Ina, it doesn't apply to Kosovo because the UN considers Kosovo part of Serbia. That's a hard one for a staunch Serb-Hater like you swallow isn't it Ina dear? How does it taste? LOL

"Asked whether it was possible for Kosovo to "get a place in the UN, without Serbia recognizing it," Dacic said this was "impossible without Serbia's consent."

Apparently Ivica is not aware that almost 190 countries became UN members without Serbia's consent - pretty embarrassing for this so-called "Foreign Minister" not knowing such basic facts!

What does 190 countries becoming UN members without Serbia's consent have to do with Kosovo becoming a UN member?

Well, the procedure for Kosovo's membership to the UN (if Kosovo applies) is the same as the procedure that about 190 other countries had to follow. And that procedure (as established in the UN charter) does not require Serbia's consent. Unless, of course, you are aware of any recent changes to the UN charter that nobody else is aware about lol

From little Ina, aka icj1 the Serb-Hater: "Apparently Ivica is not aware that almost 190 countries became UN members without Serbia's consent - pretty embarrassing for this so-called "Foreign Minister" not knowing such basic facts!"

What does 190 countries becoming UN members without Serbia's consent have to do with Kosovo becoming a UN member? The UN considers Kosovo an autonomous region of Serbia, therefore, if they want to be accepted as a UN member state separate from Serbia, they will need Serbia's consent to do so. Try to connect the dots Ina dear. Set aside your hatred of Serbs for a moment and try to concentrate. It's really quite easy and logical. I can't wait to see how you try to deflect and obfuscate your way around your silly meaningless comments about 190 countries being UN members in your next post. Can't wait!

icj1

pre 6 godina

your comment about 190 countries recognizing Kosovo means nothing to the UN as it relates to membership in their organization.
(njegos, 10 October 2017 14:56)

That's correct that UN membership has nothing to do with a country being recognised or not. But, neither I or anybody else wrote anywhere that 190 countries have recognised Kosovo. That's just a dream of yours, which, as usual, you confuse with reality!
(icj1, 10 October 2017 19:10)

I guess I don't blame you for going off-subject considering you can't defend your earlier comments.

Go back and read up on the UN and its policies and procedures and report back after you've done your homework.

That's an excellent suggestion. So I followed it and read the UN charter. The UN charter requires the consent of China, France, Russia, UK and US for UN membership; Serbia is not mentioned. It's a shame that Ivica did not follow your suggestion to read up on the UN and its policies and procedures before making idiotic comments.
(icj1, 10 October 2017 03:31)

for Kosovo to enter the UN apart from Serbia, Serbia must first consent. Did you follow that icj1?

I read a very similar story on this website 17 years ago. Funny how some things never change.

Anyway: Clearly icj1 is confused. According to the UN Security Council (which determines the policy of the UN), Kosovo is a territory of Serbia.

Under the Charter, all Member States are obligated to comply with Council decisions and agree to accept and carry out the decisions of the Security Council.

While other organs of the United Nations make recommendations to member states, only the Security Council has the power to make decisions that member states are then obligated to implement under the Charter.

Apparently Ivica is not aware that almost 190 countries became UN members without Serbia's consent - pretty embarrassing for this so-called "Foreign Minister" not knowing such basic facts!

This is the case when the dumb begun to stammer.
Don't bark to much sir! We are very vindictive people, we will make your life difficult, we are just waiting our turn.
And we know that R.Serbska is the nail in your a$$.

I really like a mr. Tsipras saying : A good dog is he who preserve better – not who bark better!

Apparently icj1 the Serb-Hater, aka Ina the Ustasha revisionist, is not aware that the UN views Kosovo as an autonomous province of Serbia. Pretty embarrassing that icj1 doesn't know this basic fact.

That's correct that UN membership has nothing to do with a country being recognised or not. But, neither I or anybody else wrote anywhere that 190 countries have recognised Kosovo. That's just a dream of yours, which, as usual, you confuse with reality!

Well, nobody in these forums asked what your friend "Ina the Ustasha revisionist" is or isn't aware about so your comment is a bit a random one. It appears your point is just to prove that you are a Serb hater since you have friends like "Ina the Ustasha revisionist"!

Is this the best you can do? After factman and I both called you out on your embarrassing lack of understanding of the UN and how it operates, you revert to your typical tactics of deflection and obfuscation. Why don't you address the issue of the UN, how it admits countries to its organization and your incredibly inaccurate comments of said subject? Once again you've revealed yourself to be the Serb-Hating court jester of this forum. But then again, you're the same icj1 who said that Zagreb wasn't bombed during WWII by the Nazis because it wans't the capital of Yugoslavia, remember? And you were the one who tried, on many occasions to equate Ante Pavelic's wrongdoing with that of Milan Nedic, remember? And you are the one who cut and pasted my comments to change the meaning of my posts, remember? Oh yes icj1, remember, remember, remember you've represented yourself very well on this board.

"Asked whether it was possible for Kosovo to "get a place in the UN, without Serbia recognizing it," Dacic said this was "impossible without Serbia's consent."

This was icj1 the Serb-Hater's response: "Apparently Ivica is not aware that almost 190 countries became UN members without Serbia's consent - pretty embarrassing for this so-called "Foreign Minister" not knowing such basic facts!"

icj1 the Serb-Hater is implying that Kosovo doesn't need Serbia's consent to join the UN because 190 other countries have. icj1 the Serb-Hater is unaware that the UN considers Kosovo an autonomous province of Serbia, therefore Serbia's consent is required.

This was clearly spelled out in Factman's and my comments to icj1 the Serb-Hater, but in true icj1 fashion she tried to dodge the subject and deflect and obfuscate. Go back and read up on the UN and its policies and procedures and report back after you've done your homework. Run along now, you've got some research to do. I'd hate to see you embarrass yourself again...although we're all used to it by now.

(njegos, 8 October 2017 16:28)

That's an excellent suggestion. So I followed it and read the UN charter. The UN charter requires the consent of China, France, Russia, UK and US for UN membership; Serbia is not mentioned. It's a shame that Ivica did not follow your suggestion to read up on the UN and its policies and procedures before making idiotic comments.
(icj1, 10 October 2017 03:31)

for Kosovo to enter the UN apart from Serbia, Serbia must first consent. Did you follow that icj1?
(njegos, 10 October 2017 14:56)

I follow that, according to you and Ivica, Serbia must consent for the admission of a new UN member. You and Ivica are certainly entitled to your opinion. But you wrote that we should refer to "the UN and its policies and procedures", not the opinions of Ivica or a certain njegos. And the UN charter does not require Serbia's consent for the admission of a new UN member. You might want to sort it out with yourself about what matters more: your/Ivica's opinions or the UN charter lol

What does 190 countries becoming UN members without Serbia's consent have to do with Kosovo becoming a UN member?
(njegos, 11 October 2017 15:34)

Well, the procedure for Kosovo's membership to the UN (if Kosovo applies) is the same as the procedure that about 190 other countries had to follow. And that procedure (as established in the UN charter) does not require Serbia's consent. Unless, of course, you are aware of any recent changes to the UN charter that nobody else is aware about lol

You still don't get it do you icj1? Try to follow this: The UN considers Kosovo as a part of Serbia, Therefore, for Kosovo to enter the UN apart from Serbia, Serbia must first consent. Did you follow that icj1? The fact that 190 countries have recognized Kosovo is immaterial...like most of what you say. It's just another example of you deflecting and obfuscating because your comment about 190 countries recognizing Kosovo means nothing to the UN as it relates to membership in their organization. I must say, you're letting your hatred of the Serbs cloud your logic Ina dear. Too funny!

Can't wait!
