My theory is that ALL rabid Serbs making comments on this topic are really that of one person. Albanian comments on the other hand vary greatly in style. It comforts me that there are not as many Serb idiots as it appears. It is obvious if one observes, carefully, the writing style of all Serb comments, one can see many similarities, too many for it to be a coincidence. I'm surprised no one has yet to comment on this observation. I guess people are too preoccupied with insulting each other.

If Serbia fails to consider its decision on recognition, we will not chase after a dialogue where internal issues of Kosovo are discussed," Haradinaj told Albania's Top Channel TV.

Funny. Pristina never 'chases' after a dialogue, it was imposed by the EU. So if Pristina thinks it's smart to stop the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue he should say his followers this means "good-bye" to further EU access.

As a prime minister, Haradinaj can very easily stop imports from Serbia, and this way give a boost to the local economy in the process. For him, it's a win-win both politically and economically.
(Therret Prizreni, 13 June 2017 18:12)

You poor soul. Kosovo-Metohija trades with the rest of Serbia significantly more than it does with Albania! You think closing yourself off from the rest of the country and region is going to help your local economy? That would be catastrophic, no wonder Albanians have left in droves past 5 years.

Why didn't the voters go with Pacoli? He seems to be the most competent person in Pristina. He's campaigned hard for recognition of the fake state and is no friend to Serbia, but he is miles ahead of all his domestic rivals. The voters sadly want more KLA (until they too decide to leave the province).

Finally Albanian got it right. THEY made big mistake talking to Serbia without recognition. If Serbia wants peace they must except Realty. EUROPEAN union was lying to Albanian cheating them with some visa bonus. SERBIA MUST EXCEPT Kosovo independence first then talk later in mutual respect.

We are sick and tired of serbs and that they think they can control us. Albanians voted for Haradinaj becuase he will be tougher against serbian aggression towards Kosova. Forget about "dialouge" and "improvment". Serbia is the enemy of Republic of Kosovo and its citizens, not to mention we dont like you one bit. We want everything serbian gone for good. Hard to understand that? It will be like this for the next thousand years to come. Get lost serboslav

Nikola, you have not bee paying attention, the opposite will happen. Serbia is the enemy of the West and a supporter of Russia. Albanians will be soon given the responsibility to administer Serbia for the West. Macedonia is under control, Montenegro is getting there, Serbia will be next, just wait.
Don't worry though, we will treat you better than you treated us. You will soon discover your Illyrian ancestry, you will change your flag to red & black, learn Albanian in school and Haradinaj will be your President too. Zhivelli :)

Ratko, where do you see threats in my comment?
Unlike you who can't apparently scribble a comment without turning it personal. Very childish. Yeah, I'll take a hammer and I'll flatten your tail, Ratko before I'll throw you to the Catko.

@LOL,
Yes, Kosova has been very dumb until now to allow free access to its market for Serbian products, while Serbia doesn't even recognize Kosova and continues to play silly games of one-upmanship. Apparently, the voters are fed up with this policy of appeasement and that's why LDK lost and VV doubled it's votes. Expect the next government in Prishtina to pay back Serbia reciprocally for its attitude.

And thank you both for your hypocritical concerns for the Kosovar people, but they are a million times better than being refugees in Bllace, for which you both clamored I'm sure.

Neither bragging nor insulting does prove or improve anything.

The fact is that politicians in both Serbia and Kosovo are horrible. The President of Serbia and probably next PM of Serbia are two Slobo scumbags who should have been disappered from politics long long ago. Just look at the comments on Srpski section.

In Kosovo Haradinaj should have left politics too. He has been Kosovo PM in the past and has done no miracles. While Kurti is a "hardliner". There is no time for "hardliners".

First thing to do: Reach mutual agreement about practical matters to make life easier for Albanians and Serbs.

All these "Army" or "Recognition" things can wait. They are inevitable.
Why should we waste our energies and time on matters that eventually will happen sooner or later?

If Serbia is "bragging" Kosovo failing UNESCO membership, let them brag. Kosovo can apply 1000 times, lose 999 times and will be fine if will win the 1000th time. That would be more than enough. What`s the rush?

Focus on things that matters now. Recognition is not something that will happen in a single day. It`s a process who needs its time.

Both "never recognition" and "recognition now" are irrational and unrealistic and useless braggings and threatenings. It will happen but it won`t now.

Zoran: The difference between the Kosovo version of autonomy without independence and the version offered by Serbia is that Kosovo Albanians will no longer be beholden to Belgrade.
(ned taylor, 13 June 2017 18:38)
--
More than autonomy, less than independence was never negotiated so nothing was ever offered by Serbia. What that would have looked like is pure speculation now. However, had it gone ahead, I have no doubt the world would be a better place. The precedent created by the UDI puts Russia ahead of the USA.

As for what most Serbs think of Albanians, in my opinion, having lived in Serbia for a number of years, I can say they don't care. Albanians are rarely discussed in Serbia (proper), probably similar to how the English think of the Irish.

As for the diaspora, Serbs, Albanians, Croatians...it's easy to be nationalistic and cheer from the sidelines.

Sorry to say, but recognition is off the table. This has been made loud and clear to everyone, the EU/US included. No recognition and no going against Russia.

In 2017, 5% of the Russian population saw Serbia as a "close friend and ally." Yet you call them brothers. Stop with the delusions, you will create yet another Balkan conflict if you blindly follow Russia.

After all, if Serbia doesn't recognize Kosova, it's only logical that Kosova won't recognize Serbia as well, and with it, any of the existing commercial arrangements.

This guy Haradinaj will meet his masters soon and they will brief him on what next, for example, the ZSO looks high on the agenda.
(Zoran, 13 June 2017 14:51)

If he ends up becoming Prime Minister, not only will he suddenly develop an change of heart over ZSO, but he'll use it as a stay-out-of-jail card. It's telling when the war hero/criminals of Kosovo need to form a three-way coalition to cobble together votes to offset the protest vote that makes Vetevendosje stronger every election cycle. Like their Balkan counterparts in the 1990s, these guys campaign as the big defenders of whatever scrap of land they call home, and after they win, settle back into politics as usual. Not only will ZSO go forward because it's part of Kosovo's road to the EU, Haradinaj will want to placate international sponsors in keeping his name off the war crimes list. These "war heroes" many here praise are, and have been, out for themselves since 1999 and are scared of losing their privileged positions to new political voices and movements that, if given power, would disenfranchise all of them, and eventually also be emasculated in rhetoric and bluster once they too realize the only way forward is negotiation with Belgrade.

The following article in Pristina Insight offers an excellent insight into the desperate clinging to power of the KLA remnants that have done nothing for the people of Kosovo.

Zoran: The difference between the Kosovo version of autonomy without independence and the version offered by Serbia is that Kosovo Albanians will no longer be beholden to Belgrade. Serbs look down on K Albanians, something made abundantly clear during the 2008 demonstrations. Why would Kosovans want anything to do with them, they are disliked and viewed as a secondary form of life. Peggy, from whom we no longer seem to hear, once wrote that it wasn't the fault of Serbs that they were surrounded by lesser peoples. Well, these lesser peoples don't want to be part of the Serb realm. Mind you, the joker who said that everything Serb should be expunged from Kosovo is as bad as the Serbs who try to exert their authority over everyone else in the region.

As for Haradinaj and his demand, he is clearly a buffoon. He is not however doing anything much different to the leader of the free world who insists that his country comes, first, second and last.

I see no possibility of Serbia recognising Kosovo and hopefully the EU will make clear to Haradinaj that continued support, both financial and moral, comes at the price of continuing with negotiations without ridiculous pre-conditions.

OK, well I've probably managed to upset all sides in this debate, a rare achievement.

(Jugoslavija, 13 June 2017 16:52)

No army, no political mandate, no visa liberalization, a dwindling population still finding ways out of the region, no job prospects for anyone outside the inner clique, but yes, Haradinaj will make everything better by denying minority rights to a people making less than 8% of the population while issuing demands no one believes he can enforce.

Funny. Pristina never 'chases' after a dialogue, it was imposed by the EU. So if Pristina thinks it's smart to stop the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue he should say his followers this means "good-bye" to further EU access.

"Why don't they publish serb posters calling Albanians what they are?"

Because they want to shift public opinion towards Serbia, as up until now the Albos have had the sympathy of the world.
