The Croats outsmarted the Serbs and won as they were defending their homeland Croatia. The war was in Croatia proper NOT Serbia proper. End period.

Those women and children must have posed a tremendous threat to those brave Croatian soldiers. Afterall, we know that those civilized Croats would never harm civilian women and children, now would they? Yeah right.

We seen how the croats fought when the Serbs were fighting lol...55,000 serbs against 300,000 of them + others that helped lolol have a nice day...

All this, i mean all wars in ex-Yugoslavia, started because Serbs went for "all or nothing".

Now let use some logic: Today those who were part of Milosevic`s clique that started four wars for Greater (and ethnic pure) Serbia are still in power and Serbs still accuse others as warmongers, fascists, terrorists etc.

Yeah, good way to start rebuilding normal relations with neighbours that you ruined.

Who started the wars in;

1) Slovenia
2) Croatia
3) B & H
4) Kosovo/a

Also Montenegro & Macedonia divorced from Serbia & did not want to associate with you.

Where was Russia when Serbia was getti g bombed by NATO?..The Russians look at their own interests and would be stupid to get into a war with NATO or the US because of Serbian stupidity. The Russians would do it again.

Serbia is angry and I do understand them as they controlled Yugoslavia which suitwd their lifestyle tremendously....sorry to wreck your plans.

Previous comments were that the Serb army left Knin before the Croatian Army came in during "operation storm" and that is why it fell so fast, now we read comments that all the Serb soldiers also left Western Slavonia and it was just women and children there.

It makes me wonder why they ever put up barricades and forced out the Croatian residents in 1991 when they were just going to leave before the Croatian forces came to retake the land?

They should have just left in 1991 or stayed and accepted Croatian independence. A lot more people would be alive today if they had.
