I'm proud of my history and that I don't need to reach back 2,000+ years to prove some kind of connection to Macedonia, like you/Greece does. You should also ask yourself why almost every single major northern Greek town -- Kilkis, Serres, Edessa, Kastoria, Drama -- was given to Bulgaria in 1878 (Treaty of San Stefano), and why they were given to Greece only after the 'western powers' realized they didn't want Russia controlling the Aegean. This didn't happen in 300 BC -- it happened fairly recently, which is what should make you uncomfortable, not me.
