Everybody can enter Belgrade or Pristina as a tourist, but only in Belgrade the tourist will today feel welcome. However, the Serbian friendly, open, warm and welcoming spirit will soon enter Pristina as well. With trains or any vehicle imaginable. Cheers!

The goal for Vucic and Nikolic is not to teach people to coexist, the goal is to get elected. The best way to do this is to manufacture crisises and then tell the people that you are the one who can solve them.

Somebody here asked what I mean with ”broader perspective”. Well, let me explain. If you are standing - for example - precisely at the administrative line connecting central Serbia with its southern province, your perspective would be somewhat narrow, because you are too close to everything. But if you look from a distance - like I as a Scandinavian do - you would see the entire region as a whole, i.e. in a broader perspective. When you understand this, you will understand the rest. Things are not that simple as you found out. Be descent and there's no problem with the train. Otherwise someone from this side of the border may have the brilliant idea about sending a train with the Republic of Kosova plastered all over it and the Kosova flag, without asking or telling anybody there.

I agree with some comments here that Vucic's "Love Train" was a simple provocation. There was no need to label and decorate it the way it was, unless they wanted to provoke a response from Pristina. Pristina responded as any normal country would. Imagine an Albanian train headed for Belgrade that read "Kosovo is Albanian"? How would it be greeted in Serbia? This is an embarrassment for Serbia, but Vucic doesn't care. It is election time soon, and he is playing the numbers game here. Not sure who you're writing about, but "Serbia" probably with input and guidance from Russia, who actually supplied the train, achieved their key strategic objectives. The first was to provoke a response from Shqiptar paramilitary forces. The command, control and movement of forces from south to north of the Ibar were recorded and followed in detail. Covert ambushes of the ROSU who encroach north of the Ibar will, in the future minimize Serbian casualties and maximize Shqiptar loses. Josip should thank Thaci for taking the bait and exposing his forces.
Putin will most likely use Serbia as a proxy test of Trumps true intentions. Serbia will be encouraged to militarily secure northern Kosovo to test Trump's response.

NAKON 18 godina danas je ponovno uvedena željeznička linija Beograd-Kosovska Mitorvica.

Tvrtka "Srbija voz" predstavila je posebni vlak koji je danas odradio promotivnu vožnju, a dizajner je Andrej Vasiljević. Probna linija trebala bi voziti od 20. do 26. veljače, a ovisno o interesu odlučit će se hoće li linija postati redovna.

It's not about the frescoes. It's not about the red-blue- and white Serbian flag either. Those bother nobody. This is about grandstanding and about making a point that Serbia doesn't need negotiations and can write anything it wants and claims in a train that can send whenever it pleases and wherever it pleases. Things are not that simple as you found out. Be descent and there's no problem with the train. Otherwise someone from this side of the border may have the brilliant idea about sending a train with the Republic of Kosova plastered all over it and the Kosova flag, without asking or telling anybody there.

P.S There was a locomotive waiting on this side of the border. Even if you wanted to go further, you wouldn't be able too.

NAKON 18 godina danas je ponovno uvedena željeznička linija Beograd-Kosovska Mitorvica.

Tvrtka "Srbija voz" predstavila je posebni vlak koji je danas odradio promotivnu vožnju, a dizajner je Andrej Vasiljević. Probna linija trebala bi voziti od 20. do 26. veljače, a ovisno o interesu odlučit će se hoće li linija postati redovna.

Ne treba puno proučavati dizajn vlaka da bi se uočilo da se radi o, u najmanju ruku, neukusnoj provokaciji. Vlak je izvana pun natpisa "Srbija je Kosovo" i "Kosovo je srpsko", a iznutra je par prepun freski svetaca.

I agree with some comments here that Vucic's "Love Train" was a simple provocation. There was no need to label and decorate it the way it was, unless they wanted to provoke a response from Pristina. Pristina responded as any normal country would. Imagine an Albanian train headed for Belgrade that read "Kosovo is Albanian"? How would it be greeted in Serbia? This is an embarrassment for Serbia, but Vucic doesn't care. It is election time soon, and he is playing the numbers game here. He is playing to the primitive, ignorant, nationalist, toothless crowd that is his voter base. He has been manipulating, lying, creating tension, committing unlawful acts, etc. his entire political career because he knows no other way to stay in politics. He certainly has little to offer Serbia and its people anything that's constructive. Hopefully he/SNS will lose the upcoming presidential election, and he will disappear from the political scene. And Serbia can then put out a collective sigh of relief.

If Russia "tests" Trump in Kosova, Russia also will also test itself in Latvia, Estonia, Poland, and Ukraina at the same time. Think what that means .. and think it again for a very very long time.

So this has nothing to do with Russia, as much as it has to do with Serbian internal politics, and breast-beating, and keeping your (Serbian) paramilitary thugs as happy as possible (to get those votes). The goal for Vucic and Nikolic is not to teach people to coexist, the goal is to get elected. The best way to do this is to manufacture crisises and then tell the people that you are the one who can solve them.
Unfortunately for the population of Balkans, each crisis needs to be bigger than the last to keep peoples attention. It seems that Vucic in particular does not know of any other way to lead the country.

I thought Vucic is in charge only because the "West" considered Boris Tadic too slow... However, Vucic is only capable to stop trains. It needs Vojislav to reach the end station. Just my opinion.
