Around 3,000 people gathered at the 11th Zagreb Pride Parade on Saturday and there have been no incidents so far. The organizers stressed earlier that they wanted to warn that gay people had the right to live their lives the way they wanted to. They also called on all citizens, regardless of whether they belong to the LGBT community or not, to join the parade and support the LGBT community’s right to equality and dignity. The organizers said they expected more than 5,000 people at the Saturday parade. “We want to show that we have the right to public assembly, that our families exist and that they should be regulated by laws,” Marko Jurcic, one of the organizers, pointed out.
