  2. Oh, they want to pay less taxes. A good reason to become independent. It worked for the United Sates of America. It worked for Slovenia. Godspeed Catalunya.

  3. Haitian kos means black bird in Serbian, if kosovo were truly albanian why wouldn't be calli zog i zi?
    (Robert1899, 25 January 2013 04:19)

Yes it means blackbird which is the national symbol and national bird of Albanians but because Kosova is also important to Serbs, we call our country by the Serbian name of Albania's national symbol/ bird.

Kosova is for Albanians and Serbs, but Serbs for some reason don't want to be apart of Kosova, well the ones north of the Ibar don't. I get on fine with Serbs in the south of Kosova. I have Serbs friends and their ethnicity is not a problem to me. Ethnicity only seems to be a problem to people who post comments on B92. People are people!

  5. Pls Say - The real question is what does "kosova" mean?
    (Robert1899, 24 January 2013 16:37)

It means 'Blackbird' and guess what is on the Albanian flag? You got it, a two headed...
    (Haitian, 24 January 2013 21:40)

Not sure if the Haitian’s comment was sarcastic or not, but I agree with him regardless.

Two headed indeed and very proud of it

Totally concur with the Haitian, but if I may just add a word or two just so robert1899 can comprehend, that’s if at all possible!

Kosova means a land owned by Albanians and we are not going to relinquish it no matter how nasty you people get. You can try 1999, 1912 yet again, no issues here, we will defend it with all means.

    Did that help Robert?!

  7. "Fikret your comments just highlights your limited grasp of government formations. "

Thank you for your kind words. Believe it or not, but I'm very well aware of the difference between constituent republics and autonomous regions! Actually I'm even well aware of the situation in Spain as I frequently read local newspapers in Spanish. And that's precisely the reason why I have absolutely no doubt Spain would ultimately accept a peaceful succession of Catalania after long and undoubtedtly abrasive negotians.

Anyone who only knows the slightest bit about Spain will agree a Kosovo style situation is unthinkable there.

  9. BTW Robert1899, what does metohija mean?!! We call it Kosova and guess what, 100 important countries have recognized us; take a wild guess how much we care about what you think?!!

    (Pls say it ain't so!!!, 24 January 2013 12:57)

Actually "Pls say" Rrafshi i Dukagjinit is the Albanian pronunciation, you need to learn some albanian facts.

Also, Catalonia (beautiful indeed) is the main reason why Spain has not formally recognized Kosova, I sense a change here.
    (Pls say it ain't so!!!, 24 January 2013 12:57)

It's quite funny how albanians dismiss all those small countries that didn't recognise their independence, as unimportant. Yet they fail to realize that their "kosova" belong to that same group of small, unimportant countries...

  11. Fikret your comments just highlights your limited grasp of government formations. You see Catalonia is a province within the Kingdom of Spain. Czechoslovakia was a country made up of the unification of 2 republics. Republic status gives them the RIGHT to go their own way, provincial staus does not have that same right. kosovo i metohija would be another example of provincial status and there are hundreds of these cases around the global. This precedent is the reasonthe status of kosovo i metohija is frozen.

  12. If Catalania should vote for independence, I have little doubt Spain and the rest of the EU will ultimately respect this in a peaceful way just like the seperation of Czechoslovakia.

  13. Hey Nesho,I don't think the snake has the balls to make that move. Besides that action is reserved for legitimate countries which kosovo I metohija is NOT.
    (Robert1899, 24 January 2013 04:05)

LMBO, I love these comments, everything has to be linked one way or another with Kosova. Give it up ladies, Kosova is a done deal; you guys are appointing an ambassador to Prishtina, just take a wild guess what that means!?

And how does the ‘snake’ comment get in the picture?! Oh well…..

If Catalonia has a legit reason to separate then let them have it.
