Germany won't make "greater contribution" to anti-IS fight
"I will write to them and of course say we are on their side in the fight against Islamic State," she told German public television ARD.The minister added that Germany would continue to support the Kurdish forces in northern Iraq, which she considers to be "the most effective ground forces" in the fight against IS.
She also noted that Germany had sent surveillance planes to Syria, which came equipped with "very necessary modern technology."
Previously, Washington praised the inclusion of Germany in operations in Syria, adding, however, that the country should send more personnel to the forces that are fighting against IS.
