"Football should not be used for political messages"

Football "should never be used for political messages. I strongly condemn what happened in Belgrade last night," tweeted Blatter.

The Serbia-Albania tie was abandoned towards the end of a goalless first half after a drone carrying a flag of the so-called Greater Albania appeared over the pitch at the Partizan Stadium, sparking further incidents.

Match delegate Harry Been said that the decision on the fate of the tie will be made by the disciplinary committee of the European football's governing body UEFA.
