Turkish MPs vote to amend internet law

Critics, however, say it will limit freedom of speech, Reuters is reporting.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's AK Party has a majority in parliament which voted to allow the telecommunications authority to block access to material within four hours without obtaining a prior court order.

The articles are part of a package of laws that still have to be adopted as a whole and be sent to President Abdullah Gul for his approval, Reuters said.
