Dacic's MP "won't take orders from Progressives"

According to him, Dacic "must understand that a large number of Socialists are justifiably afraid that their party is gradually merging with (Aleksandar Vucic's) SNS."

"He (Dacic) either can't see it or he's closing his eyes before this fact. The SPS must clearly profile itself as a party with its own program and ideology. Something that will set us apart from other parties, including from the SNS," Toncev said.

According to him, "a value criterion" has been imposed inside the SPS: "You are as good as you praise PM Vucic and the Progressives (SNS)."

"That's the way to get promoted in the party. I don't accept that, and I guess that's why I'm still a candidate for vice-president. I value what Vucic is doing, but if cooperation with the SNS means that Dragan Stevanovic Boske or somebody else from the SNS should be giving me orders in Surdulica - I'm sorry, but that won't pass. And, it seems to me that Dacic expects this not only from me, but also from other Socialists holding similar positions," said Toncev.
