"The institutions and those holding political office in Kosovo must in the end bear the responsibility for the prolongation and the political obstruction that they constantly impose with the help of opposition parties, in order to marginalize the Brussels agreement," Simic told Beta.

According to him, "the bad intentions must be removed and the EU as the mediator in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue should react."

"There's no more time. We want open and sincere cooperation through joint work, and the passing of a decree on the formation of the ZSO, and we want what was signed in Brussels to be honored, as well as what was signed in Pristina with the coalition partners, during the formation of the Kosovo government," said the head of the Serb List.

He added that the Kosovo government was created based on a coalition agreement that envisages the ZSO, "which should have been done a long time ago."

Simic thinks Belgrade's idea to "wait until Sretenje (Feb. 15)" is good - so that the Serb side can find out whether there is the will and responsible and decisive Albanian political representatives who will "clearly call the Serbs" and say, "today we're starting the formation of the ZSO."

According to him, if suspicions about there being no political or institutional will to make a step in that direction turn out to be true, Serb political representatives will seek "institutional and political support."

"In coordination with our government, PM Aleksandar Vucic, and Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric, we will take all the political steps when it comes to the process that is the cornerstone of the Brussels agreement as far as the Serb community is concerned, to do what should have happened a long time ago, and that is to constitute our executive institution the ZSO, on Sretenje of this year," Simic said.
