Kosovo Insurance Bureau official "freezes wrong agreement"

Tahiri told Pristina's Albanian language daily Zeri that Pacolli, who is president of the General Assembly of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau, "knows full well that the issue of temporary license plates is not linked with the agreement on insurance" - considering that he represented the Bureau in the Kosovo delegation and managed its technical group.

Tahiri also said that the temporary license issue "will be discussed again in Brussels during this month" when Pristina "will demand from Serbia to either remove temporary plates - or we'll also (introduce them) as the government."

The Pristina-based website Indeksonline reported on Monday that Pacolli "decided to freeze" the agreement on the mutual recognition of motor third party liability insurance reached between the Association of Serbian Insurers and the Kosovo Insurance Bureau.

Pacolli said he made the decision "due to the situation that arose after the introduction of bureaucratic and unnecessary measures of the Serb side due to which citizens of Kosovo are forced to remove RKS plates from their vehicles, and use temporary plates for which they must pay additional fees."

On Tuesday, Tanjug reported there was no change in the manner in which vehicles crossed the administrative line between Kosovo and central Serbia.
