Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic says RSD 4.73mn are spent a month on salaries of 54 officials in seven Kosovo municipalities. There are no Serbs there, he announced, and reiterated the state is doing everything to relieve them of duty. Minister on spending in relocated municipalities "We have 54 officials in those seven local administrations and we are doing everything to relieve them," Bogdanovic told B92. He added that the officials would be essential if they were living in those communities and fighting for the return of Serbs, if they had initiative or ideas that would help solve the problem. The ministry has to solve all problems in Djakovica, Decani and any other municipality, which means "we do not need that many people, we only need one" he said. The minister for Kosovo-Metohija again said that the recent fight between Podujevo municipal officials who had been moved to Kursumlija is a disgrace. Bogdanovic added that a few of the people who had to leave Podujevo, northern Kosovo, have been stationed in Kursumlija, southern Serbia, while "a good portion lives in Krusevac, Kraljevo and Nis". "Instead of trying to enable the return of Serbs to Podujevo or open administrative border crossings... they are fighting about who gets to be president, who gets what," he said. Bogdanovic once again said that the ministry will seek permission from the Serbian government to appoint coordinators for all seven Kosovo municipalities without Serbs, because it would save on paying officials who do not even live in the province.
