G17 Plus official backs Vojvodina autonomy

Ivana Dulic-Markovic says that the Constitution needs to be changed to give Vojvodina autonomy. The former agriculture minister also said that her party, G17 Plus, supports such a move. She also said that the statistics show Vojvodina showed economic prosperity in the period of its most widespread autonomy between 1974 and 1988. Dulic-Markovic said that Vojvodina should have its own legislature and executive branch and a partially autonomous judiciary. The G17 Plus official added it should have the authority to pass laws regarding agriculture, energy, traffic, urban, environmental protection, education, science and culture, pensions, health, and internal affairs questions that are not related to state security. She also said her pary supported new provincial elections after necessary legislation pertaining to Vojvodina's territorial orgnanization has been amended.
