Export rate growing faster than imports

Nikolić, who works with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, told the Beta news agency that the biggest change was the growth of the export of other industrial sectors that were not known generally for being as productive as certain mainstay exports.

One is traffic and electric machines, which make up an eighth of all exports, and have seen a growth of 70 percent in the first half of the year.

The other two sectors are wood and tobacco production, whose export numbers are also steadily rising.
